A Quote I Love...

So true... Our way of seeing things shapes our lives...

Can we discipline ourselves to shape our perceptions... therefore, shaping our lives?

I believe so.

I made this little ripple afghan a good while back and I still love its bright colors...

I'm happy to report that I'm back on track with my Flat Rib Popover vest.  The light bulb came on while I was taking down the Christmas ornaments from the tree Tuesday.  I love how our minds will continue to work on a problem even when we are not consciously thinking on it; and then, BOOM, we see the way through to the other side.   Just love it!

So now, I've finished the back and have cast on the front.  Yea!!

While both are true:  the glass IS half full AND half empty, I want to focus on what is IN in my glass... it is all I need.  I am thankful.

Such a beautiful quote! I'm giving an old afghan to my daughter this week. I loved it but she loves it more and I'm more than happy to know it means something to her.

Love that quote--that would be freedom for me, and the afghan--such vibrancy! Glad you figured out your pattern. A pretty shade of gray. Have a nice weekend!

Great quote! Love that afghan and so glad you're back on track with your vest.

Ok... that quote is a real “stop in your tracks” kind of quote!!!
It’s a good one, for sure.

Light Bulb moments, always surprises me. Glad you are back on track.

Have a good weekend!

Beautiful knitting, blanket and quote. I chose silence to be restorative, not lonely at all. Have a great weekend.

I love silence as I'm an introvert, so I think of it as freedom. Love your beautiful red leather chair with the equally beautiful afghan over the back! Have a nice weekend!

I see it as freedom:)
I got used to being quiet and on my own several years ago...in the midst of a busy life..It was an extremely difficult year.
I am very grateful..I can be alone and not bored.
I'm married..you know that:) So I amnever really alone..but we are in our hobbies and ways..hard to explain..blablabla..:)
Love all your work!!
Lightbulb moments are so great..I love them.

Oh most certainly freedom. Our perspective on life is what truly makes the difference in being happy or not. The glass is always half full with me, but others might see it has half empty...perspective.

Your lovely crochet blanket makes me smile. I love all the pretty colors. I also love ripple blankets! :) It's a favorite pattern of mine, too.

I knew you'd get back on track with the knitting. You are awesome.

Wishing you a day filled with many blessings sweet friend. ((hugs))

Love this . . .
Mind if I borrow the quote . . .

Good news in solving the knit stitching . . .
Like that colorful afghan . . .
I am sure I would love the vest . . .
A vest of some kind is USUALLY part of my daily look . . .

I like that quote also. I have not heard it before but it is so true.
Tanna, you are inspiring and encouraging. I love your sweetness.
And you are smart figuring out all the knitting instructions. We sure need sweaters this winter.

Love this post Tanna...this happens to me often...like a dog with a bone!
I do enjoy being alone...doesn't happen as much now, as boyfriend has been retired for a whole year....
More snow here....ugh!
Enjoy your week...
Cheers!

In this season, FREEDOM!! And very rare. LOL! Yes, I love how the mind continues to process and problem solve even after you've walked away. Always working, working, working. =) XOXO Love you!

I definitely consider it freedom. Stepping away from any kind of problem usually gives our brains time to figure things out. I found that always to be true when having a computer formatting problem at work. Unfortunately, when it comes to crochet patterns, I can't always say that stepping away helps me figure things out. :)

A lovely quote. And true. You view things one way today and then another tomorrow.

I love the quote and all I think is freedom! I love quiet time to work on my knitting and just to think and let my mind wander. Your vest pieces are looking wonderful so far! I love how we can figure things out sometimes by taking a step back and clearing our heads for awhile.
