A Favorite...

Amanda made this photo on our recent Griswold Vacation.  I love it!  There is Pop Pop, Little Man, Noni, Momma and Dad.  Thank you, Amanda, for letting me show it off!

I have resumed my early morning walks this week.  After the summer solstice, the days begin to shorten... the change is so very gradual it takes awhile to really notice.  The scales have tipped... I can really tell the days are getting shorter... and, there is the "back to school" smell in the air... the grass doesn't smell like spring anymore... there are enough clippings and decline from the heat that a slight scent of decomposing (in a good way) floats behind the cut grass fragrance.  Change is in the air.

This post is to link to Sandi's Friday Favorites.  Have a great Friday ya'll!

Yea for Crocs. Definitely a Friday Favorite - more like an everyday favorite! =)

Yes, I'm starting to sense the change for fall, too. Don't know what it is, but it's coming...

hilarious photo: the smooth, unhairy baby next to a variety of unshaven and shaven legs and all those crocs. Keeper!

Cute picture - I noticed the guys' hairy legs, too, but mostly noticed your cute "little man"! I love it!

Crocs are apart of our family, from our 11 month old grandson to his Grandpa (58yrs. old).

As far as summer? Your words rang so true. The sent of decomposing is a true statement. Thanks for putting words to my feelings.

What a fun picture. So cute that LM has his very own pair too. I too feel the change in the air and am waiting for the temperatures to drop to feel "fall" in the air!! Can't wait for that!!

The many colors of Crocs! I love how "Little Man" was able to get most of his cute self into the photo!!

I'm loving the gathering of long shadows around here and thinking fall--and cooler weather.

Best,
bonnie

I love, love, love that picture. Interesting you can smell the change. My first sense to pick it up is always sound...the bugs, the birds, the crunch, even the wind sounds different to me. Sigh... mixed emotions about it leaving. This year summer was so busy that fall is going to be the slow pace time, so for the first time in my life I'm kind of looking forward to it.
