Remembering...

December 7, 1941.  So many thousands of lives changed that day... A ripple from one egregious act of aggression... Remembering and honoring those lives...

Thought about them so much this morning on my walk.

I also savored the beautiful leaves and blossoms along the way.  It was a brisk 42 degrees, but heading to the 20s tonight.  I'm afraid many of the beautiful fall colors will be nipped away.  I have delighted in them.  There will be another season... God willing.

Last Saturday night we enjoyed the treat of Blue Moon Gardens' Luminaries... It was still and perfect... and the moon was majestic!

One of my FAVORITE places... a place born of two friends' creative hearts... it feeds the souls of many, many creative ladies...

This baby is blocked!!  And, ready to wear... I'm a little nervous about trying it out.  I love the yarn and the color so much.  I really enjoyed knitting it.  I just HOPE I will enjoy wearing it!!  Planning to wear it to dinner on Saturday night.  Keeping my fingers crossed.  ;)

Prayers for peace around the world...

My husband and I always remember the lives lost on that day too as his uncle was right there serving and it was his birthday. I loved all the beautiful things you showed today--beauty always helps. That magnificent tree still holding the autumn colors, the moon shining magnificently over one of your favorite places, and then that gorgeous sweater--wear it in joy, Tanna!

First off, Please share a picture of you wearing your dress!
Secondly, thank you for sharing a big part of our history, which seems to be fading.

December 7, 1941 makes me remember my Uncle Hugh . . .
He was there, seeking cover as he saw many of his friends killed.
He never talked about it . . ,
My Aunt Fran let my parents know he had survived.

Your sweater tunic looks gorgeous . . .
I hope you enjoy wearing it and hope we see pictures too!

Pearl Harbor will forever be remembered for so many of our brave men and women lost their lives that day. War is awful, and only those who live through it know the true hell on Earth that it is. Our brave young men and women are fighting right now in a distance land(s) so that we may remain free. God Bless all who serve to keep our nation free, and God Bless those who are left behind, the families and loved ones who also pay that price as well. God Bless America.

Love the tree. Your walks are filled with such beauty. It is in the still silence that we find His voice, His peace.

Blessings always sweet friend. ((hugs))

It looks beautiful and ready to wear! Hope you enjoy it and that it feels good on your skin! (That's always important to me. LOL) Yes what an impact on our world was Pearl Harbor ... we pray nothing like that happens to that degree again.

Remembering Pearl Harbor is bitter sweet. So many lives were lost before that day and it took that horrible day to finally get the United Sates into the War to help. It is so sad that so many millions of people were harmed or killed during those horrible years. I hope we don't go back to that time ever. Your sweater is gorgeous. You did a terrific job.
