Scatter Joy -- Day 21

They say it takes 21 days to create a new habit... I needed a new habit... a re-boot... a way of focusing on all the good and filtering some of the bad.  These 21 days of Scattered Joy have helped me refocus and REMEMBER all the good that still surrounds me...

Our young golf pro of the gentler gender says that, if you take the "power pose" or "super hero pose" for a short while every day, it will actually change the chemistry in your brain!  Hey, doesn't hurt to try it. Strike the pose, ladies.  ;)

And, I'm back to my 21 Day Fix exercises again... along with my walking.  I've had to prove to myself, ONCE AGAIN, that walking isn't enough.  I need some core and resistance training.  Twenty-two days down: a life time to go.  Back on track.

Over the past several years I've had my feelings hurt by folks I'd love to be closer to... but, seems they really only want to come around if they want something from you.  At 61, looks like I'd have learned better by now.  I'm really working on letting go... of the hurt... you just can't make someone love you back.  Nope.  I know this.  Feeling it is another thing... but, I'm working on it.  And, really who wants to chase after someone if they don't care enough to be around you just for the joy of it????  Right??? Right!  (Remind me of this if I forget.)   Moving on...

Yep, 100%.  So far.  LOL!  Thank you for sharing this 21 Day Scattered Joy exercise.  It's been good for me.  We still have some tough times happening with friends; but through it all, we are gifted with many, many blessings.  The Little Men & Co. will be arriving tomorrow and OH, HOW MUCH WE LOOK FORWARD TO THEIR BEING HERE!!  (I will admit that I am savoring the quiet in the house right now though... hee hee).  We have so much to be THANKFUL for today.   If I don't make it back until The Little Men & Co. have left, I hope each of you have a WONDERFUL Thanksgiving.

May God bless and keep you and yours ~ tanna

Oh my Tanna . .
Not liking that there are “folks” who like you when they “want” something, from you . . .
yet aren’t always there for you consistently and in kindness . . .
Says something about their authenticity . . .

I like your daughters “Power Pose” or “Super Hero Pose” idea . . .
Self affirmations really do bring a positive effect to our mind.

21 days scattering joy has had an affect on me too . . .
And you are inspiration on your walking, resistance and core plans.
I need to foster similar exercise plans

Happy Thanksgiving . . enjoy the Little Men & Co . . .
I am thankful for you . . .and your joy!

It was nice to hear the positive approach for all the things. All the things will have some time and you have fixed it as 21 days. I have not heard that if we take a strong pose will change our brain.
Happy Thanksgiving:)

my feelings are easily hurt and I fret so much. I have come to figure out that most people are not thinking about me and it's in my mind. Still it's difficult to readjust thoughts. Go you on your exercising!!

I have enjoyed your days of Joy on your blog. It is always good to celebrate and remember all the joys and blessings in our lives. I so love what you said about having to learn to let go of the hurt. I also like the part about moving on. You are so spot on about if people don't want to be with us for just the joy of being with us, then let them go. You always amaze me with your wisdom and words that always seem to hit me at just the right time with things that I am dealing with, too. I wish for you and your family a Happy Thanksgiving filled with much joy and love sweet friend. ((hugs)). Blessings always. :)

Happy Thanksgiving, Tanna! I have enjoyed your Joy posts, even if I haven't commented much. They have been a lovely 'place' to go in the past weeks - I lost my father last week and my heart has been heavy. Thank you for sharing your re-boot!

All words of wisdom, it is indeed wonderful to give to others but we need to learn to give to ourselves and it seems to be one of the hardest lessons to learn. I too love to walk but workout with a trainer via Skype and she is great with this older body of mine. I am 71 and she has to work around my heart issue and back problems but she does and I am doing great. Let me know if you want to give it a try.. Have a blessed Thanksgiving Day!

I have appreciated your 21 days of scatter joy. That's exactly what you did. I can't imagine anyone putting you off … but then, that's their problem and loss. I have to try mentally to put those difficult feelings in a box and "bury it" somewhere and move on. Sometimes it works, not always. I hope you are having a wonderful Thanksgiving today with your family and especially enjoying those little guys! They grow so quickly. I was amazed that this year I needed no kiddie plates on the table. Miss Four can handle china plates and probably a real glass too.

I know you had a wonderful Thanksgiving! I did not realize we are so close in age; you look much younger than me! Thank you for sharing this about others not loving us back. This hit home with me this year in particular. It's hard to let go sometimes, isn't it? I appreciate your friendship thru blogging very much. Enjoy this Christmas season that is fast approaching!

Tanna...you look fabulous! Good for you! I have returned to fitness, and we walk everyday too...but I have not been as successful as you!
Guess cause I am older! Hahaha! LOTS older.....
I know what you mean about friends...I always expect them to act the way I would....and it just doesn't happen.
When did good manners go by the wayside?
Oh....we got an early Christmas present.....come on over for a peek!💕
Cheers!
Linda :o)

I'm sorry that someone disappointed you, that always hurts. People are all so busy and under many pressures and don't always take the time to consider others. It is better to have a few good friends than many casual ones. A big hug.
