My Little Love, My Little Man

E-mails with photos attached of my Little Man ALWAYS make my day.  Thank you, dear daughter.  Our Little Man turned two years old last week.  In some ways it hardly seems like two years could have passed... In other ways it has been a long time, with them so far away...

He sports a big boy haircut these days.... but still likes that thumb.

And, there is simply no better sound in the world than his laugh... Makes everything right in the world... for just that precious moment...

He has his Noni's heart of hearts...

I love that he is still enjoying his Retro Rocket  (his Momma had to push, pull, help him when he first received it his First Christmas).  Now, he can launch that baby himself!  And, man oh, man, can he launch it!  Noni's Little Man is growing up so fast.

I love you, Little Man.  To the moon and back.  Bigger than the sky.

Thank you, Amanda.

Tanna, my husband loves that first shot of LM. He wants to know what camera and lens you used.

He is a beautiful child and your daughters pictures of him are really remarkable. The life of a long-distance grandma can be difficult. It is so nice she finds time to update you with his progress. I sense very strong family ties here. I hope you have a great day. Blessings...Mary

CG: Amanda took those... and they are somewhat diminished by the copying to my files, but she uses a Canon Rebel Xsi with a Sigma lens that is similar to the kit lens, but I can't remember exactly what it it. The kit lens is 18-55. I'll find out. You should see the photos she used on her blog. She is really becoming skilled (of course, I'm not biased or anything. LOL! hers is on my sidebar under our little adventures in happiness toward the top)

He's precious, and I love his "big boy" haircut. They always do look like little men when they get them, don't they? I know you love your emails and SKYPE. Thank God for the gift of technology to sooth a grandma's heart.

He is a precious little man! When I look at my oldest son who will be 16 in October, I still think of him of that little boy at 1 year of age in his little vest and bowtie and I wonder where the years went. Sending hugs and smiles to you, Tammy

What perfect pictures. I know that it's hard being far away, but what an amazing thing the internet is. Thank you so much for sharing your beautiful little man with us!

Blessings, Debbie

Not to diminish Amanda's camera skills but when you have a subject like Little Man, photos are going to be spectacular! Again, I think he's (and the family) a special addition to my hometown!!

Yes, I think I'll be there on October 23d but will have to wait to hear from my sister as to her time off. I'll give her a call over the weekend to see if she's firmed up dates.

Happy 2-year old birthday to your Little Man.

Best,
Bonnie

I'm glad I saw these before I leave for a week away. So darling and your daughter captures his personality in her photos! How grateful you are, I know, for such great ways to communicate! Even though my kids live here, I sort of miss the skype times with my granddaughter...but much better having them here. He is such a cutie. You are smiling today I know!

Your "Little Man" is beginning to look more like a toddler and less like a baby....he's so handsome!

My grandson had his first short haircut this summer and it made him go from toddler to little boy in an instant!

It's fun to watch them grow and learn new things.

You're welcome! Glad you liked them. This was round two of birthday photos. Round one was completely unsuccessful. You know how it goes...

So far behind in my blogging and getting to comment. One of these days, maybe I'll have the time to keep up again.

I love those stockings! And your color choice. Very cute! How big is it going to be?

And that poor squirrel. Oh goodness. I've never seen a squirrel sprawled out like that before.

And once again, you never cease to amaze me with the reno projects in the old girls. Man, that apartment looks fantastic! Those buildings (and tenants) are lucky to have you taking such good care of them.

And finally, can't wait to see the new abode at Hideaway. Looks like the Little Men will have no shortage of fun things to do there.

Love, love, love you! XOXOXOXOXO

Isn't it something how they can melt your heart...My husband is absolutely crazy about our two daughters, but he often tells them that if the grandkids had been born first, we probably would have skipped having them (our daughters)....In other words, he adores our grandchildren...

You have one cute little guy there...enjoy him much!

What a sweet birthday post for your even sweet Little Man! I agree, those birthday pictures couldn't be any more precious! He is such a handsome little thing, but like the rest of our kids, I sure wish he'd slow down on the growing up stuff.

I think it's so neat how you and LM have such a special bond. There's no doubt it'll last forever and transcend whatever distance that may be between you.
