Heading back to Virginia...

Santa came to see Little Man at Noni and Pop-Pop's this year!! He didn't really get what all the big deal was about this time. Still, Christmas was so special with him around.

Our annual porch steps shot...

Little Man, with Mom and Dad, modeling his Penguin Pal.

Sweet little angel about to take a nap...

And, so very sad for Noni... loading up for his trip home... It is empty here without my Little Man and his folks. They accidentally left a burp cloth behind... I keep breathing in his little scent and crying... and breathing in his little scent and crying... but, I am only going to give myself one day to mope. One day to whine and feel sorry for myself. Then I'm starting to work on the thriving plan... I have so very much to be grateful for. I am so blessed to have my family. Even if some of them are far away, we have a deep love for each other and a great joy in spending time together... that is so very much to be grateful for. So very much. And, that is what I am going to focus on!! (After I have whined today... ) ;)

I love the pictures....Feed me...how cute and the toboggan looks so sweet on little man! Hey girl, I feel your pain! My husband asked me if I washed his shirt he was wearing the morning Lila left....I did! He wanted to save it for the sweet scent! Don't think I could handle the burp cloth, it would be too much!!!!
You are right, we have sooooo much to be thankful for!

Oh Tanna! I can only imagine the sadness you must feel now that your house is empty! Especially without your little man! Maybe Amanda purposefully left the burp cloth behind so you could have a constant reminder of him and his sweet smell! But you are right to allow yourself to feel sad and then look forward. But I know no matter how appreciated you are of your blessings, it still doesn't take the sadness away, immediately anyway!
I'm so glad you guys had a great Christmas together and I know Alex brought you all much joy this year!

Your little man is just adorable!! I'm sorry your house feels empty without him, but it definitely makes the times you see him that much more special, no? Alex is so lucky to have such a doting Noni!! I'm thrilled you had a wonderful Christmas with your loved ones!

You take your day and you whine to your heart's content. It is hard to see family leave and babies make it harder no matter who they are. I cry every time my oldest leaves to go back to college so it is fine. But I do like you do- I give myself a full day to be sad then lift my chin and get on with it.
I can't wait to do this Thrive concept also..

You give yourself all the time you need! Sometimes it's just a necessity to allow ourselves time to cry. My parents have been here visiting and leave tomorrow. I know all about the feeling sad part. It's never easy saying goodbye to family is it...especially when a precious grandbaby is involved!

Feel better soon!

Oh, my gosh. I'm crying again. This time it is because of your sweet comments. Thank you.

Let's call it what it is - the goodbyes aren't just sad, they suck. So is the day before and several days after. I may still need an extra day to mope since I had to keep it together as best I could yesterday on the flight home. Today I'm trying to bury my head in work.

But I can't keep moping. When are you kicking off Mission: THRIVE? I'm ready - and desperately need - to focus on that.

We enjoyed our time together. Wish so much that it could have been longer. One of these days... Love you.

Yes, it sucks. And, no, we can't keep moping. We have far too much to be grateful and joyful about. It is time to move forward. Love you dearly. XOXOXOXOXOX

Just now sitting down to catch up on blogs. Historically I'm terrible at goodbyes. How could they have gotten worse? Well they have. In the words of Amanda, they suck.
