Ranunculus; Lone, Late Blossom; and First Sign

This is the little top I finished last week post blocking.  Love. Love. Love this pattern!!  It is Ranuculus by Midori Hirose.  Worked from the top down, there are 276 projects (at this time) of it on Ravelry and I've loved it in every weight yarn I've seen.

Details on Ravelry here.

Once in a Blue Moon, there will be a pattern I will love doing more than once.  I'm already on the second one and planning a third!  At this point, I'm in a holding pattern on #2.

I'm STUCK here until I receive a rescue package from a fellow Raveler!  Thought I might be able to eek it out with the skeins of this Noro Shirakaba (discontinued) from my stash, but NOPE (you can see I even considered a contrasting band... not working for me)!!  Thank heavens for ladies who list their stash on Ravelry and are willing to part with some of it!!   My hat is off to Mary of Arizona!  Yarn is on the way.  THANK YOU!!

This week a very LATE and LONE blossom appeared on my gardenia.  Feels like a sign...  I'm just not sure what it's a sign of... yet.

And, the first makings of blossoms on my sedums have appeared... their lavender beauty shines as September rolls through... my first sign that fall is not far behind... Oh, how quickly this summer has passed.

How lovely. You always make such elegant things. Oh yes, this summer has moved rather quickly for me as well. Seems the older I get, the faster time is flying past. I wish for you a most lovely day sweet friend and weekend, too.

Blessings always

((hugs))

I know the summer is flying by for me. Too fast...even though I've had enough of hot weather. Love your top and it's wonderful that you found someone with the yarn you need to finish it. Have a nice day and weekend!

It's amazing isn't it, how we can't slow down time? And the older we get--the faster it seems to go. I am partial to green so love, love the colors of the #2. I'm glad help is on the way. What a community of knitting friends you have!

You are right, the summer has passed so quickly.
Your knitting is so lovely. I love both pieces- their patterns and colors. You look great in your selfie.
Great pics of your sedum and gardenia. I have one lone one on the miniature bushes I have. It's rather late usually blooms in May. Don't know what's up with that.

What a fitting quote for bloggers, that is exactly what is wonderful about blogging as well as life. And I think it is wonderful that you yarn babes share with each other!

That sweater is gorgeous on you, Tanna! Hope you can finish it soon.

We have never grown sedums before since we had so much shade at our old place in a valley with tall ridges all around. But here on this hill we have plenty of sun and my husband planted 6 or 7 of tall ones that will turn colors in the fall. I'm already loving the silvery green of them with just a blush pink showing, but something, maybe rabbits, are enjoying eating the lower leaves. Oh well, we all have to eat!
