Bohemian Oasis, a Good Read and Our Handsome Alex

Assembly project number two is complete!  The Bohemian Oasis (free pattern) is finished!  I love the weight of the Noro Silk Garden Sock yarn (and this helped decrease my stash of yarn) for the squares and the Madelinetosh light that I used to connect them.  Laura, thank you again for helping me get them in order.

Monique, of Table de la Nana, suggested this good read:  The Art of Hearing Heartbeats by Jan-Philipp Sendker.  I'm enjoying it so much I've already ordered the sequel.  Thank you, Monique.

Oh, how I love the colors of Noro... and Madelinetosh...

Actually... the color of lots of yarns... ha!

Our handsome Alex was dressed for one of his friend's Royal Birthday Party this past weekend. While it still breaks my heart not to be there to see him in person... all dressed up for the ball, I am most grateful for texted photos!  Oh, I love this child.

he is a handsome lad :) Love that blanket that you created, I wish I could feel the heft of it and squish it as well. I don't know what life would be like without texting, instagram, skype and all sorts of internet interactions!!

Really, really bee-U-tee-ful blanket!! It's gorgeous! Brilliant colors! Could I use more !!! ? No, I could not.

What a good-looking little man in his suit. Look at that front tooth missing. Makes my heart ache for my boys.

Those colors are scrumptious! And it's a silk yarn? I bet it feels so nice against the skin. And your young man is so handsome! I hope you get to see him soon. My two little granddaughters are only 3 hours away but I don't get to see them often. They are, however, coming for the weekend! I can't wait!

Love your Bohemian Oasis blanket. Those colors are some of my all-time favorites. I love the aqua borders with the purples and burgundy colors... Don't know what they are called now but I used to call them the "Jewel Tones".... SO pretty together.

Your grandson is adorable... I'm sure you wish you were there, but getting the pictures is the next best thing.

Have a wonderful weekend.
Hugs,
Betsy

Sweet, sweet boy! I love the afghan, but then I am partial to turquoise/blue and the yarn you used just drew it all together. Love it!!

That is one knock out throw! Found the pattern but would love to know the color you used in MadelineTosh Light. It just pops those colors without being over bearing. Great color eye!
