Crossing things off the list...

Eight buttons.  That's what I need to call this one DONE!!  Poor thing... it is a motley combination of yarns and design.  But, I think it is going to become a snugly and comfortable old friend.

I didn't totally escape the crochet obsession... Couldn't help but add a little crochet shell edging to the collar.

The picot edging on the sleeves was part of the original pattern I started using... then there was the addition of a garter border... then slits on the side... then buttonholes... then a shawl collar... then crochet edging to that.  I'm even thinking of some after-thought pockets as it is blocking on the bed.

It really bears no resemblance to the sweater I was originally making... Isn't that how life goes sometimes?

My friend, Patrice, gave me this little ornament for Christmas.  Makes me smile sitting on my desk.

1099s are ready to mail out today.  Sweater ALMOST finished!!  I like it when things get crossed off the list.

I like it! Everything you make is always so beautiful. A knitting friend asked me to teach her to crochet so she could add trim to her projects. Have a great day. Tammy

Love the sweater and your little added touches. I was thinking of adding some crochet to the edges of my gloves and was wondering if that would work for keeping it from rolling up. Yours looks great. When I grow up, I want to knit just like you! You've been a big part of my knitting inspiration. Thank you.

It looks really nice. It will be a comfort to wear I think. I love crossing off a list I've been known to write something down after it's done just so I can cross it off. (LOL let's say I'm keeping a record.) Kind of sick, I know. :-)

Can you please come rub off on me? I need to get some things checked off, too. I did line up a housecleaner to come whip this ol' girl into shape. Excited for that! Better get back to my chores. It's a slow go this week.;-) xoxo

Now all you need to do is write up the pattern. I happened upon https://www.etsy.com/shop/RobertWGilmore as a source for what looks like awesome buttons. Nice work on the sweater; I love the crocheted edging!

That sweater certainly does resemble life. It doesn't always turn out as planned.
I like the sweater and do agree it will be comfy and cozy and get better with age.
Blessings dear Tanna. xo Catherine
