Bohemian Rhapsody and The Big Ba-Nilla

You might have noticed that I've been MIA again.  This roller-coaster-ride of selling and buying a home has just been unbelievable at times.  I almost hate to write any of this down; but, today we finally came to an agreement on a home to purchase.  It ain't over 'til it's over, but we should close on both homes the first week in March.  Of course, we were 12 days from closing before... when it tanked... so, your guess is as good as mine.  At any rate, I'm taking a breather this afternoon.

I have finished the mixed stripey blanket  a.k.a. Bohemian Rhapsody.  I love its big snuggly-ness!  The hardest part was the edging... I'll share more on that later, if anyone is interested.

Then, before I was even done with the blanket... I saw this wonderful flower on Lucy of Attic 24.  It is just too much fun!!  It will be a pillow when it is finished.

I'm seriously noticing a color scheme starting to appear.  I ordered this beautiful bracelet from Sandy at Faith Hope and Love.  She has done such beautiful work!  And, her customer service is amazing.  You might want to hop on by; she is having a 14% off Valentine's Sale AND a giveaway!!  I'm just sayin'.

Anyway, that color scheme... we are gonna need it!  Or something!!  This is the possible future home... we call it The Big Ba-Nilla (vanilla) for obvious reasons.  Where every square inch of Tallulah, The Brick Street Bungalow, oozes character... the Big Ba-Nilla is an abyss... of none.

My brain is whirling away though... It is going to be a challenge to breathe some life into this one.

But first, I could use some prayers that we make it through both closings... After that last deal, I'm feeling very anxious... and since buying my first home at 19, I've NEVER felt this way... it was always just exciting.  A little scary sometimes, but exciting!   This is not exciting.  It is stressful.

Once we've crossed that bridge... the CPR will begin.  ;)

"And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may read as he hastens by."  ~ Habakkuk 2:2

May your visions become clear...

Oh my....where to begin? I suppose I missed that you all had another contract on the Bungalow. I've always enjoyed your place and I too have bittersweet feelings about this.
Oh well....when God closes one door, HE usually opens something bigger for us. I've been in your shoes and I personally know everyone of those butterflies that can make your tummy feel bad.
I know that both closings are going to be completed. Yay for you all....Can't wait to see what you do in your new place!!

BTW...I do love that big red chair in the first photo...
hugs...

Oh Tanna, I will pray over this situation. Now, I have NO DOUBT that you will make the big BA-Nilla as amazing and full of character as Talullah! YOU will do it...it oozes out of you. AS FOR the color scheme...OH MY I adore it! Do not leave that blanket laying around....it may disappear in a FED EX box to Ohio to visit Jill! :)

I am in love with your crochet blanket. It is awesome! :) The pillow is adorable as well. Love all that color. You did a wonderful job dear friend.

I am sending prayers that both of your closings will happen without any issues. I also pray that you will have peace over this issue and not have to stress so much.

If anyone can take the plan Jane house and make it into a beautiful home filled with awesome colors of love...then it is you my dear friend. :)

Blessings always to you and yours. :)

I bet it has an awesome kitchen and exceptional view. Change is good, just keep chanting that to yourself! By the way, I will be singing Bohemian Rhapsody all day now, bobbing my head up and down. Love the blanket - gorgeous!

Okay before I say anything about the move I have to say the crochet blanket is spectacular, simply gorgeous. Love the flower too. Good luck with all of the closing and moving. The Big Ba-nilla will be fun to decorate, you have an open palette. You can do whatever you want which is quite exciting.

Tanna, I can't say AMEN enough to your words about the closings and the anxiety. Why do they have so much power to do this? sigh. Stay the faith my friend. I'm trying♥

Praying that all goes well with the closing. Take care!

Dear Tanna, I understand. I was thinking that perhaps when I was younger things did not stress me the way they do today.
Though, perhaps it was simply because, "ignorance it bliss".
I think the more you know and learn, the more there is to worry about.
I try to give it all to the Lord and let Him work it out.
The house is very nice and I am sure you will bring your charm to it.
The blanket and flower are both lovely. The colors are true to your feelings, mellow yet alive and well.
Blessings dear. Catherine xo

So much that I want to say here, but I will try to keep it brief. There are few things which have been more stressful in my life than buying and selling houses. (Yes, the *important* stuff out there is more so, but I'm talking about the day to day living stuff. In that arena, I strongly dislike the buying and selling of homes, and it dislikes me right back. Very stressful.

That said, whenever I'm asked to pray for someone in that circumstance, I definitely do and I will.

And I don't think the Big Ba-Nilla will stay banilla for long in your capable hands.

Praying that God goes before these sales and makes all crooked places straight.

Oh Tanna, we moved from a "big ba nilla" to a charming bungalow, We've been thinking of a move too. So far, we haven't found much charm!! You'll add your own in due time. I wish I had that gorgeous throw to curl up under by the fire. It is lovely!!

Best,
Bonnie
