Zipping Along...

While trying to zip along in my "chore knitting" I've enjoyed seeing some fun things along the way... including this cute bear knitted by the owner of our LYS (local yarn shop), Regina.  He is precious!  She is a very creative soul.

One more down!  This pattern is Baby Sophisticate by Linden Heflin.  A top down raglan, it requires no seaming (other than very small holes in the underarms)!  I am a fan of no seams!!

The yarn is Ella Rae Classic Superwash Chunky in a heather gray.  VERY soft.

Nope, it's not fall here yet... the leaves are dropping because of the heat and trees still not recovered from last year's brutal heat and drought.

Then, there is this one... started in jury duty this week.  I can tell I'm going to love it.  (but... is there a knitting project I don't love??)

Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend!  blessings ~ tanna

Tanna, do you have your fingers insured.....with all the marvelous they produce...you better check out insurance..HaHa..

How I love to come and see your creations.

As you knit.... I cook and today I tried a new experiment ... If you can make Snickerdoodles with a yellow cake mix, why can't you make Devildoodle with a Chocolate cake mix... it worked. It's like a bite of Deviled Food Delight!

Love the teddy bear! I've only had jury duty once. It was interesting but would have been better with my knitting :) Smart you!

Wow to drape myself in the beautiful bounty of projects would be a dream. But then again I don't have the patience to craft something as knitting.
Maybe I have to start out with a small item....

Have a blessed weekend!

Cute little sweater and leaves have been dropping here for weeks from the extreme heat and little rain. We do have rain and drizzle today and it is needed.

Now I am wondering what that new project is / will be. The bear and sweater are charming.

You make me wish to start a new project! The little bear is very sweet and reminds me very much of the bears my mother has knit for all her grandchildren and great grandchildren. They are precious!

What a sweet bear! I love the sweater. Does it come in a larger size?

Have a lovely weekend.

OMG! I LOVE THAT SWEATER!!! I'm tempted to beg for one of those for each of the boys!!!! Sure would make for some cute Christmas pictures... And I LOVE the color of that yarn! One lucky little guy is going to be getting that one! And jury duty again? Your name sure does seem to come up in the hat a lot. Hmmm.

I agree with everyone, the teddy and the sweater are both so adorable. I really like the clean simple lines of the sweater. And jury duty...I've never been called for it myself and hope not to be, but if you're a knitter, all those hours of waiting around would be put to good use! I hope it doesn't go on too long for you. (and I hope you get some rain soon too)

Such lovely things that are made with 2 hands and some yarn!! Oh, how I wish I could knit! Love the color in the last photo of the new project.
Have a wonderful weekend!!

Not only cute but GREAT for jury duty. I never like those envelopes to come. :(

I bet you can whip up those little baby items in no time at all. Love the blue of your recent finish. And that teddy bear is adorable. I crocheted 5 teddy bears many years ago, gave them names, wrote poems to go with them and gave them all away. I did them without a pattern and haven't made another one since. When I think I might like to try another one, I don't even know where to begin. My creative juices must have really been flowing back then. :) Have a great day. Tammy

Hey, Tanna. I have been called to jury duty twice and I was selected for the jury (or an alternate) every single trial that came up in my term! Must be the young and innocent look I have. If that is the case, I am thinking you will be selected often, too! A worthwhile experience. Wish I had taken something to do...so smart!

Cute bear. Did you get the pattern? There's a no-seam pattern by a Danish knitter that's really fun.

Love the cardi! Are you doing another shawl? When I did jury duty here, they wouldn't allow knitting needles sadly.

Such a precious bear! I am very fond of bears...any kind of bear.
thought about you yesterday...I purchased a knitted top and WOW, I couldn't believe the price....My thoughts were "Tanna would have been able to make her own" I could have purchased this particular piece in about three colors and believe me, I wanted all three....I'm pretty sure that I got a bargain considering how much work goes in to making a top like this...
Enjoy your day..

Jury duty - such fun. Glad you have something to keep you busy! The chunky sweater is adorable. Can't wait for fall! I'm ready - bring on the leaves and cool evening walks. Yeah!

Debbie said...

I love the way the leaves fell on the sweater and you took the picture. That could (and should) be in a magazine. I never thought to look on your sideboard to see if you have one. I will now. You are extraordinary, you know.

I always love to see what you're up to with your knitting. Each piece is just gorgeous!

are you sure you shouldn't open up that etsy shop??? ;)

Adore the little blue sweater. We have leaves falling too. All the trees in my neighborhood are stressed from the extreme highs and lows of our temps. Today is incredible...started out at 60 this morning and now it's about 75. Perfect for me!

Jennifer {Studio JRU} said...

That little sweater is absolutely adorable!! Love the pretty color. Leaves dropping here too and not because it's fall. :(

Kelly said...

Oh that bear is adorable! That precious little sweater is cute too. I bet it's even cuter on. I guess you can't complain about jury duty if they allow you to knit then. You'll get a lot done!

I love them all!

AND, as much as I adore fall...I am NOT ready! I am NOT ready!

All I can say my sweet friend is ❤ ❤ ❤ You are just so good at knitting, I am so jealous :-) Hope it's a bit cooler today. Our temperatures are slowly rising here...just too warm for anything ;-) Sending you a great big hug.

I used to crochet, knit and cross-stitch as a child, but I haven't done it in years - that sweater is adorable!

And our leaves have been falling off too - our grass is so dry its crunchy when you walk on it. :(

We had a little rain shower up here in the corner this morning. I don't think it was even measurable, but the temp was cooler as it fell. Very nice.
Gorgeous sweater! I tried taking a book into jury duty once, and the judge and clerk chewed me out for it. We were allowed nothing. You got lucky with your knitting.
I'm coming down there! :)
