Vintage and Co.

One last turkey swan song for Thanksgiving... I am giving a big thanks to Jodi of Vintage and Co. for this wonderful vintage turkey planter AND....

This fun, whimsical gobbler!  It was such a pleasure to meet Jodi when she dropped these little turkeys off Tuesday afternoon.  I was the lucky winner of one of her giveaways and I just LOVE these two turkey treasures!!

Jodi has three wonderful sales a year; and, if you are anywhere near enough, you should try to make the next one!  You won't regret it.  Jodi, thank you again!!   Just love 'em!!  Hope we get to visit again soon.

We are about to shift from enjoying fall into the Christmas mode.  Seasons shift so quickly.  I sure have appreciated our splashes of color... Gifts from Above.  Thank You, Father.

Cute planter. All our trees are bare and it has been gray all day. Much needed rain coming soon and much colder temps. Tis the season.

What fun wins, Tanna! I have almost the exact same turkey planter. I line it with a napkin and use it to hold utensils when I have a Thanksgiving buffet.

Congrats on your wins! They are so cute. We are just now getting some leaf color on some trees around here. We don't have many deciduous trees in our neck of the woods, I mean desert!

Those turkeys are cute. You aren't gonna believe this. After nursing my sprained ankle for nearly 3 weeks, I decided today I needed to do some cleaning and organizing. Came across all my Fall/Thanksgiving decorations that I didn't even get out this year, so guess what I did today. Yep! I put them all out. Ha! Everyone else is decorating for Christmas, Thanksgiving is over and I'm putting out votives with Autumn leaves, tea towels with pilgrims and Indians, and turkey tealights. I figure I can enjoy them for at least a week or so before I decide what I'll do for Christmas this year. :) Hope your day is great. Tammy

Those turkey's are so cute! Isn't it fun to win something? I just packed away the last of my Fall decorations yesterday and started decorating for Christmas outside since bad weather is headed our way. This is such a fun time of year!

great minds thinking alike today Tanna. Changing of the seasons whether we are ready or not.

Tanna, we are done with color here in northern WV, but I am ready for the peacefulness of winter's mainly muted color scheme.
And I am about to do another blog my own self. It's just that everytime I sit down to do it, the words seem to leave.

Tanna, you are lucky girl, let it stay longer so! Very interesting to read about this very american day Thanksgiving in your post and in the comments.

Love your new turkeys!!! (I have a vintage planter--somewhat similar--that holds our cranberry sauce--when I can convince the gang that it's really OK not to see the ridges on the Ocean Spray!!!)
Something sad about leaving the Thanksgiving/Fall season...but I think I'm ready. The woolie are coming out!

Fun, fun...so long Turkeys..as Benjamin sings, don't come back until spring...well if they don't want to be eaten.

I hope your travelers had a great trip....you have had a wonderful visit with your little guys...give them kisses and kisses

Full disclosure; I'm just oddball enough to miss the bright autumn colors and Thanksgiving already.

Time to move on, though, from being thankful for all He has given me to showing that thanks by giving to others. And so, I welcome Christmas.

(Still miss the turkey...)

I was looking at my trees over the weekend and at this point most of the leaves have fallen off. What's left are just bare, brown branches waiting for next season's fruit to come in :)
