HAPPY MAIL and Single Edge Razors

This was a most wonderful piece of "happy mail" that came Friday afternoon!  It was so pretty... even the envelope!  And, the note... JUST MADE MY DAY!!  Wanda, of Brush Strokes from the Heart, is one of the sweetest people in blogland: if you haven't met her, you need to stop by for a visit.

Not only was it pretty on the outside, it was FULL of precious little treasures!!

...including a notecard by Wanda herself!!  She is an amazing artist!!  I don't think I will ever be able to use this notecard, I love it so much!

And, have you ever seen such a cute tea bag holder???  Wanda, thank you from the bottom of my heart!  I will think of you every time I use this and I can't wait to try the tea and plant my flowers!!  That was some real HAPPY MAIL!

I haven't had much time to catch up on blogging lately!  I have been with my friend the single edged razor for MANY hours these past couple of weeks... cleaning windows (9hrs), removing old linoleum adhesive from a vintage tile floor (8hrs).  And, painting (NOT watercolor) and cleaning.

Eighteen of these babies!  I'm glad to be done with this chore.  I am still working frantically getting ready to head off to meet my new grandson who is due in only a few weeks!  Keeping my nose to the grindstone... blessings ~ tanna

Thank you again, Wanda!

Windows...my plan was to have all mine washed by the end of May. As of today, I haven't done a one. I still have a week to go--I MIGHT make it. I'll use you as my inspiration!
Best,
Susan

What a delightful little package of joy! And especially fun at the end of a long week like you had! Happy Mail really is one of life's simple pleasures, isn't it?

We can't wait to see you! Will be in touch after tomorrow's appointment. Love and hugs!

PS - I'm watching LM on the video monitor as I type. He's gone down for his afternoon nap and so far so good in the big boy bed. =) Yea!

Oh, and I'm counting on the fact that you won't judge how dirty our windows are after you've just slaved away to get yours cleaned up! They look so good!! That is one lucky tenant who will get that place! Can't wait to see your "before and after" post.

What a thoughtful and "artistic" gift!
The card would look very nice in a frame with a wide matting.

Never could get my windows sparkling clean...maybe it's ecause it's my least favorite job..LOL

(My turkey video works now.)

Are you cleaning off old paint drips that have been there awhile? There is nothing like a clean window so I'm sure you are enjoying it.

The notecard is lovely, and so nice you will think of your friend when you have your cup of tea!

Don't work too hard, for you know you'll be working hard--in a delightful way--when you go to welcome and help with the new baby!

What a sweet little gift! It's such fun getting real mail isn't it?

Love clean windows! We did ours last fall. Couldn't believe the difference as they were years overdue for a good washing. ha.

Tanna ~ How very sweet your readers are. I humbled by the comments on the little gift.

I'm so glad you like the notecard. I have that print enlarged in a frame in my kitchen.

Have a great day!

What sweet gifts. Her art is amazing. I need to clean our windows. Heck I need to do a lot of things around here. Thanks for your comments about Leila. She was sick with a cold while we kept her last night and was off her regular schedule. She usually goes to bed at eight, but oh no not last night. Missy stayed up till 10:30 and got up at 6:30. She normally sleeps till 7:30 or 8:30 even. Have a good week!

Definitely would frame the card. It is so sweet. I'm awed by all of your window work etc. Have a great week!

What a pretty surprise to receive in the mail form a blog friend! The notecard painting is very pretty.

Windows! We replaced all the windows in my house a few years ago with new ones, which makes cleaning them a lot easier than it used to be. Now if it would only stop raining every day so I can also tackle that job soon.

How nice to get such sweet mail as that! I wouldn't use the beautiful note card either, but frame it and hang in my kitchen. Don't work too hard. I hate doing windows and it's just a waste of time really on the busy street where we live and the dust kicked up by the cars racing down the highway. But they do look nice when clean for a few hours! We've had so much rain and more on the way, so I'm behind on a lot of chores like that. Have a good week!

I agree on both accounts:
The treasures are wonderful, and the window job is horrible. I've done it, and I don't want to do it again any time soon.

Dear Tanna, I have recently "met" Wanda and she is very kind and gracious. The gift beautiful. I am sure it made your day and weekend. I hope that you take time to breath with all that you do. Enjoy your new blessing. I look forward to pictures. Blessings, Catherine
p.s. Thank you for all of your visits as I do look forward to them.

What love in a pretty package! Geraniums are perfect anytime of year, and captured on the note card with wicker and preserves is divine.

We are about to begin painting our home (color chips have been narrowed, paint budgeted...) and now you have me itchy!

Blessings, Debbie

What a lovely treat to find in the post!

Now, about those windows--do you travel? We have sooo many windows in this old house. There are nine in the living room alone!! We do need to see clearly so when the rain stops, we'll start. Of course, the heat and humidity will set in as well.

I know you are excited to go and welcome baby A. I'm wondering if he'll make his debut in the big hospital on the side of the mountain?? The hospital where I was born is no longer there--Jefferson Memorial--and I miss seeing it when I go home. I can still visit my high school as it is now a performing arts center. It, too, was Jefferson.

Best,
Bonnie

P.S. Hoping for an easy delivery for the new baby and a smooth transition to being the big brother for Little Man!

There is nothing better to light up one's day than some fun mail amongst the usual bills, ads and junk.

I know you are so anxious to meet sweet baby Andrew and to spend some quality time with Alex. Can't wait for the news and your posts with pics! :-)
