Ides of March Project

I shot this photo of sunflowers yesterday afternoon.  I'll be using them in class today to attempt a sunflower watercolor.  I am looking forward to seeing how it will come out.  I love sunflowers!

Finished shawl.

Never did come to appreciate the yarn... but I like the open look.  And, that it is finished.  ;)

If I wanted to show my complete stupidity, I'd ask if that shawl were knitted or crocheted. I love the lacy look. I can't wait to see what you do with that sunflower. The colors are--well, sunny.

Best,
Bonnie

After I posted my comment, I looked down and saw "Roanoke Part II". Of course I couldn't resist. Love the curtains Amanda was making (two years ago?). Then I went to the D-Day Memorial with you. There's also a great pottery in Bedford. I've been to the memorial and our guide was a WW II veteran. He was delightful and we were touched by our visit. Then I went with you to see those wonderful old Roanoke houses that I know so well. Any more Roanoke posts that I've missed. Can you tell I'm feeling a little homesick?

Best,
Bonnie

Where did you find Sunflowers this time of the year?
I love Sunflowers also.
If you do half as well as you did with the Rose, it's going to be wonderful.

The shawl is lovely and reminds me of one I made a long time ago that's still with me, residing in my grandmother's old hope chest. The yarn seems to have a sheen to it and I wonder if it was harder to work with, thus you didn't appreciate the yarn. Looking forward to seeing your sunflowers! Should be a pleasure working with such a sunny subject!

As I sit and study that sunflower, I'm amazed that God gives such complex structures in nature. Several years ago, God gave me a revelation in music. Maybe I'll share it on my blog soon. This post made me think of it. Tanna, you have the incredible gift of art! I'm sure you would have been an artist in the Temple of God in Jerusalem. Looking forward to seeing your gifts displayed in the New Jerusalem! :) Selah!

Your photo of the sunflower is just stunning. I know you will do a watercolor just as stunning.

One of my favorite flowers too, I painted several with a bird in the mix. It was a fun project.

Looking forward to your finished watercolor.

The shawl is lovely. A dear blogger friend made and sent me one during my cancer journey.

I can't stand the teasing of seeing the photograph but no watercolor. I'm on pins and needles!! Hope we don't have to wait too long!

I've decided your mannequin model needs a name. Something just as unique as she is. Have you named her yet? She does make a wonderful model to your beautiful shawl. =)
