A Walk for Amanda...

Since the time change, my walks have been in darkness. My precious daughter asked for some photos of the neighborhood... so, I walked later for her. The shadows are still long from the early morning sun... but, you can still see the beauty. Oh, how I wish she was here to walk along with me and share this magnificent blessing! Can't you just smell that wisteria?

These guys just ENJOY their lives! They are always playing and greeting the passerbys.

I love the way you find mansions and bungalows scattered throughout the neighborhood. No cookie-cutter version here. =)

I look forward to the day we can take Little H for a walk along this path...

Hi Tanna: is this your neighborhood in Tyler? What is the population and is Tyler this lovely all over? I can see why my folks loved it.

Yes, California Girl. This is my neighborhood. I am so fortunate to enjoy this beauty every day. Tyler's population? The 2000 census puts us +/- 84K. A nice size. It is just this lovely all over (my favorites, obviously, are the historic districts, but there is beauty all around!). East Texas is rolling hills, lakes, and friendly folks. Consider adding it to a spring itenerary. =)

I smell the wisteria. I feel the warmth of the sunshine. I'm soaking in springtime - all through the pictures you've posted. Thank you for adjusting your walking schedule for me. This is just the beauty and color I needed to make my day. But it sure does make me homesick... I miss you. XOXO

What beautiful pictures! You have such a neat talent for not only taking the photographs, but describing them in their natural beauty. Thanks for sharing!

Lauri, thank you for your kind words... truthfully, it is just SO beautiful right now that even I can get beautiful pictures! LOL. Just think what it would look like taken by someone with some skill! It is beautiful and I love seeing it every day!

Hi, Tanna ...

Thank you for visiting my Southern Lagniappe blog, and for taking the time to leave a comment on my post featuring Raymond, Mississippi.

I'm so glad it led me to your lovely "Brick Street Bungalow." I enjoyed your "Walk for Amanda," and love your neighborhood. What beautiful homes and glorious flowers!

I am so glad I found you and will be back to visit again soon.

Sincerely,

Janie

How beautiful. I love your neighborhood. I need to come for a visit. I love morning and evening walks too - though I do like it to be light outside. :-)

I love those retrievers! I used to whistle at them when I jogged by.
