On the Brink...

While the bluebonnets are in full bloom, the azaleas are "on the brink." Thousands of tiny buds are waiting to explode in color over the next two weeks.

The signs went up this week... all in anticipation of the explosion...

This is the fiftieth year for the azalea trails in this wonderful neighborhood...

This is the same view I posted earlier... still not peaking... but, getting closer.

Beautiful wild-haired arbor...

Same yard... down the sidewalk...

Another view... he looks so regal watching over his garden...

All of that belongs to this wonderful cottage... The owners are artists in the truest sense...

Even this uncared for little rental is beautiful with the wild onions that are blooming...

Delicate beauty...

Breathtakingly beautiful...

A peak through the hedge...

Sunny welcome...

Manicured to the max...

Tiptoe through the tulips...

Mediterranean romance...

Almost home... See the beautiful old tree budding out? We are just to the left of his trunk.

The downside of this BEAUTIFUL spring is the pollen! Whew! We get a new green coat every day! Even the air is a green haze. Welcome spring... We love you even with your pollen! =)

Unbelievable! This is when I really miss living in the southern portion of the country. I miss Spring. Your photos are breathtaking.

My folks had close friends in Tyler TX. Every year my parents would take a six week drive cross country to visit us. One of their stops was Tyler and they always talked about how gorgeous it is. I've never had a perspective until your photos.

Keeping my fingers crossed for two things: (1) that I get to come home next weekend and (2) that the azaleas will be crowning in all of their glory while I'm there! We aren't even remotely close to this in Roanoke. We're still damper and gray, except for the little crocus I found. XOXO

I LOVE spring!!! And I LOVE taking walks in the spring. I took one last night after Jackson went to bed and it was so nice! Too bad my view is not quite as nice as yours...

I love seeing all that you find on your walks. You are able to capture so much and bring so much to life through your pictures and your words! Now I see where Amanda gets it! :)
On my drive to Houston last week, I saw several patches of bluebonnets along I-45! I love this time of the year!
It's so much fun keeping up with you through your blog--thanks for all of your comments on mine!
