The Parlor Tour: Another Old Girl Restored

I want to share another happy story of an Old Girl well loved.  Mirabelle has been in the care of my daughter and son-in-law, Amanda and Jerry, since November of 2008.  She (the house) was recently on the Old Southwest Holiday Parlor Tour.

For any of you who have been visiting here for any length of time, you know I have a special love of restoring old homes to their rightful beauty and glory.  Amanda and Jerry have done an outstanding job of giving Mirabelle back her dignity... and restoring her purpose... of being a HOME.

Check out more on the Tour and see the before and after story here, on Amanda's blog.

May each us always leave the world we find a little better than we find it...

Happy New Year Tanna!

Did your daughter & SIL restore and keep it unoccupied all these years? It's beautiful.

what a beauty! loved the b&w bathroom, and would just LOVE to have a mudroom (instead of my whole living room becoming a mud room!)

Well that certainly was worth all the hard work that went into turning this old house into a wonderful homely home. I loved seeing the before and after.
