Surround Yourself...

I've always known how important it is to choose the people you surround yourself with wisely.  The older I get, the more I know this is true.   The dreamers and the doers.... the believers and the thinkers... Yep, those are the kind of people I like to be around!!

But, more important than surrounding yourself with these kind of people is attempting to be a person who surrounds others with the same...

As the Little Men would say, you can be a bucket filler or a bucket dipper.  I love when they tell me they were bucket fillers... Just hearing that fills my bucket, too.

May you fill and be filled in the emptying of your own...

Oh Tanna... I love that quote. I 'stole' it (hope that is okay) --so that I can put it on my sidebar sometime.... Thanks!!!

One of my favorite sayings for many years has been: "Surround Yourself with Positive People"....

What a great thought. You do become who you surround yourself with...everyone is an influence. Remove yourself from the toxic people and keep company with those you want to be like.

Beautiful words and true. It is important to guard ourselves from people and situations that do not inspire us and make us grow in a positive direction.

You are a wise soul~

My most favorite quote in your house. And the "I will live a well lived life..." This one is SOOO true. I pray that the LM have these kinds of friends in their lives. Always. XOXO

Nice post, and nice thoughts :)

One of my favorite people is a sweet elderly retired doctor. I love him like a dad.
He has a way of making everyone around him feel special and important.
I hope that I make others feel that way too :)

~love your analogy of the bucket too.

I've pinned this to my Thoughtful Words board and shared it to my family FB page. I hope it will remind me to be that person who lets my family know that I believe in the greatness in them.

Thank you!
