So FAR Behind!!

People!!  I am so far behind with my blogging!   I have so many things to share and so little time!  LOL!  First, I want to thank Sandie, Chatty Crone for this wonderful prize that came in the mail!!  A beautiful card and a wonderful smiley face necklace to make me smile every time I see it!  Thank you, Sandie!!

Second, Susan of Days at Buttermilk Cottage is raising Breast Cancer Awareness with this cute little Pinky Lamb!  Check it out!  And, she is joining with Vicki, of 2 Bags Full in a wonderful giveaway!

This the bag that Vicki is offering in her giveaway!  Might want to check that out!!

And, lastly sweet Kelly, of The Essence of Home was kind enough to pass me The Versatile Blogger award.  I am not usually an award kind of gal, but I do so appreciate Kelly's kindness and consideration.  She is a new blogger, sister to my OLD blog friend, Kim of Savvy Southern Style.  If you haven't visited her blog, please go by and welcome her to our world.

In addition to mentioning this to you, I am supposed to select 15 other blogs to pass it on to... I want to pass it to whoever is willing to accept it and to share seven things about yourself with us!!  I love all my blog buddies and I see each of you as very versatile and inspiring women.  Grab that award!!

Seven things about me you probably don't know:
  1. I love spinach pizza from Cici's Pizza (yes, I know!!!  but, humor me... I do!)
  2. I hate the work of rehabbing an old building!  (But, I love the outcome!)
  3. I'm attending the National Trust for Historic Preservation Conference next week in Buffalo, NY. (first time to attend... very excited!)
  4. I hate olives!!  (The only food I just cannot stand.  Go figure!)
  5. The only dream/goal (that only involved mainly myself) that I gave up on was going to medical school.
  6. I always wanted to be able to sing like Stevie Nicks (couldn't carry a tune if someone put it in a bucket for me).
  7. I keep thinking of things I love that you might not know... but, at one time or another I have mentioned most all the things I love in this blog!  This is harder than you would think.  Ummm... I dropped out of typing class in the 10th grade because I couldn't do it perfectly.

So, there you go!  Hope some others of you will share a few things about yourselves!  Come on!

Have a great evening!  blessings ~ tanna

Wow - you have made the rounds today. You are welcome and glad it brings a smile to you.

I love hearing those things about you - I didn't know a lot of them.

You don't like olives? And you thought about medical school. Whew.

Have a great weekend.

Sandie is the best! And I love the cute little sheep! We have always loved Stevie Nicks, we saw her in concert, and now she has a brand new album out.

First, thank you, thank you, thank you for spreading the word about Breast Cancer Awarness Month--"Pinky" and I appreciate it. Once again--more things in common. I love spinach pizza, although I haven't tried CiCi's. While I haven't done much building rehabbing, except Buttermilk Cottage, the reults were much more gratifying than the process. Enjoy your conference and travel safe!
Best,
Susan

Congrats on winning the award! I hope you enjoy the conference. BTW, I can't carry a tune and I don't like olives either. LOL!

What a fun gift to receive in the mail! Loved reading about you. My husband and I love restoring old homes. Our home in Connecticut was certainly a labor of love and the favorite home I've lived in thus far!

Nice give aways and I enjoyed learning more about you Tanna. I am the same as you with typing --at best I am a "hunt and peck" two finger typist :) I am also away this week, as my husband had a convention in California! We are enjoying seeing soem new sights!

I haven't been to Buffalo in many years ..not since a trip to Niagara Falls, which is 22 miles away from Buffalo. I'd suggest you go there if you have the opportunity...they, and the Canadian side falls, are so beautiful to see!

Also, spicy Buffalo chicken wings were invented at the Anchor Bar at1047 Main Street, Buffalo, so you might like to try them there.

Have a wonderful time!

Hi Tanna, spinach pizza... yum! Vicki's giveaway is wonderful and I love that little pink lamb Susan knitted up. Very cute and for a good cause. I took typing in high school -- loved it! Of course, typing became my career as a legal secretary and has served me well. I used to be able to type more than 100 words a minutes with few mistakes. I can still type fast, but I feel the mistakes as I make them and it slows me down because I MUST correct them as I go. I can't look at a keyboard and find the letters or symbols; I actually only know them by memory. My fingers do the walking. :) That smiley necklace is so sweet. I bought silver smiley beads to make crocheted bracelts for friends but once they were worn, the smileys started turning blue and pink. :/ Hope you have a day filled with joy and lots of smiles! Best wishes, Tammy

I think I got a book and taught myself to type. But sewing class was the challenge for me, probably because I had to take it in summer school for my mother said I needed to sew if I wanted clothes! I love spinach pizza but black olives on it would make it perfect! I hope you have a wonderful experience at the conference in Buffalo and get some moments to take a deep breath! And meanwhile, have a good weekend!

Fun, fun, fun...WOW, medical school, than you are a brain.

I will check out the other blogs.

Oh the color is Sherwin Williams Aquarium...I have a gallon left shame you aren't close enough for me to just drop it by and let you create with it.

Have a great weekend.

Wow! I didn't know any of that about you! I think that's the fun part of this award. Getting to learn more about each other (outside of blogging). Thanks for accepting this award. You're the best!

What fun to find out things about you that might not come up in blogversation.
One thing I do know about you is that you are my "vintage" home expert, so I have a question. Do you remember the lovely old door I got for my new home? Well, it came without a key...skeleton, I'm guessing...so, where do I get one of those? Help, please. Thanks.

I love that necklace! It makes me smile, too!

I love "Pinky" and will have to let my Mom know!

Dear Tanna, It is a treat getting to know this wonderful world of blogging friends. I bet you sing much better than you think! I love spinach pizza too! I am sure you would have been a wonderful doctor, but the Lord knows what He is doing and life just takes us in different directions. Never regret. You are a really nice and kind friend. I am so happy to know you. Blessings, Catherine xo

Hi Tanna, hope you're enjoying the conference in Buffalo this week... much cooler than Texas I'm sure! I love learning more about the people I know...and we have dropping out of typing class in common! I love Stevie Nicks voice too. Here's a link to a great video of her rehearsing for a concert many years ago while getting her makeup done. I love how much she obviously enjoys the music!

Oh, I hope you will share all about the conference. Target audience, type of information, who you met, what you learned? I'm all ears. Someday I hope to hate the work and love the outcome too :)

P.S. Medical school will always be my regret too but after years of working in the hospital I know I would have burnt out or hardened my empathy...trying to find reason I guess, there has to be one :)

Thanks for sharing all this neat info about yourself...I love it when bloggers do this. Isn't Sandie the sweetest? She is always so uplifting....
Have a great trip and bring back lots of pictures..

I love your 7 things...very interesting. You still have time to go to med. school. As talented as you are you'll breeze thru!

Hi Tanna- thanks for the little shout out- you are so sweet to do that and also to help Susan with her charity fundraising.

It's fun to learn little things about blogging friends. Funny that you hate olives- I love em!! Medical school is grueling- I watch med students every day- I would not want to be in their shoes.

Sounds like you have a lot going on----
Hope you are enjoying these last few wonderful fall days--

I didn't realize until this morning that I had missed this. I love to read people's random seven. I'm just nosey I guess.

When I turn on our GPS, which I call Gypsy, I always sing the first line of the song "Gypsy". In my head, I sound just like Stevie Nicks.
