As soon as we checked in, I whipped out my camera to get a shot of the view out our window!
Yep, we've made it to Buffalo!! There are swarms of people here for the National Trust for Historic Preservation Conference... and, to my delight, lots of young people, too!
I don't have near enough lens to get the detail of the stone work on the City Hall building, but maybe when we tour I will be able to get some closer views. It is amazing.
Cassie, the Executive Director of Historic Tyler, Inc. was getting some closer shots of this impressive entry and light.
Look at those owls... keeping out the pigeons. ;)
Loved the buffaloes on the same building.
Oh, and you know this Old Girl caught my eye... Sale or Lease... reduced... {sigh}... So many Old Girls... So little time and resources!! ;)
That's it for now. We've been up since 3am this time (Eastern) and it has been a very long day. I am excited to get to our first meetings tomorrow!! blessings ~ tanna

So much to see and do, so little time. Enjoy Buffalo and then race to see us! We've got two Little Men and a Momma just dying to see their Noni in four - count 'em - FOUR DAYS!!! Woohoo! Enjoy your time. We can't wait to see you! (And some pics of Niagra Falls.) XOXOXOXO
great photos Tanna...I bet you are enjoying yourself...can't wait to see more...I had a dream last night that your daughter moved back to Texas...and I just read above that you are getting to go see them soon...enjoy your time...
Enjoy your stay Tanna and keep the photos coming! I always drive thru Buffalo on the Interstate on my way over to Rochester (one of my sons is in college there) and wave at the buffalo statues along I-90. One day I should stop in!

I've never been to Buffalo, NY so it's fun to see it through your eyes! I love getting the chance to see different cities in Blogland. Ha! I bet it's cold up there. Looking forward to learning more about your trip.
It's been years since I was last in Buffalo, but it was once my 'shopping' town when we lived in Hamilton, Ontario. Have a great time at the conference!
Well since I'm all about historic preservation, I know I would enjoy your trip. I would be twice pleased to visit a city with so much character in the buildings. I've never been to Buffalo. It looks really enchanting.
I love that buffalo in the first picture. When I first looked at it, I thought it was a bull from Wall Street. (Yes, I know the title said Buffalo... It's early and I'm blond. ) I was afraid you were going to tell me you were one of those Occupy people.
Glad to know you are about preservation of America instead.
I had no idea that Buffalo had such interesting buildings. We only pulled off the highway to find something to eat and didn't explore the city. Enjoy!
I'm heading southeast this morning. See you soon.
Best,
Bonnie

Gosh - I always read your posts - how come I didn't know that you were going to New York or why?
