Lovin' My Men (and Little Momma)

Life has been running at a frenzied pace around here!!  I had worked all weekend scrubbing, sanding, patching and painting on my current remodel project.  I came dragging home Sunday night to find a prize from my Little Men.

Now, they (and their Little Momma) sure know how to lift their Noni's spirits when she is dog-tired and frustrated with some projects gone south (not in a good way).

Put a big smile right on my face!  Thank you.  Thank you.  Thank you, my Little Men and Little Momma!  I love this pumpkin AND its beautiful wrapping!!  But, most of all the thoughtfulness that went into every part of it.  My heart is full.

Now, I cannot talk sweet about my Little Men without mentioning my Beloved Man.  He sent this beautiful bouquet on Saturday.  It arrived when I was about to pull my hair out... over situations that had gone arwy (if you have ever started a remodel, you know how this is!).

It kept me going. I'd smile as I would pass it by... heading on to the next step in the process.  I have wonderful Men in my life, folks; and, I do adore them!  I'm a lucky woman... a blessed woman.

And, I am grateful.

I so wish I had had a tripod.

As I closed the door at the end of my work weekend, the last rays of sunlight glowed off this bouquet.  It was amazing.  Of course, this is blurred... but, it makes me smile just to remember the glow... and how everything had faded to black... except the beauty.  This project will do that, too.  Thank You, God... for this blessed reminder.  Thank You.  Most of all, I am blessed by You.

Now, I'm about to head back to Sherwin-Williams and hit the paint brush again!  Been trying to tend to my bookkeeping, tax information (yes, it's that time of year for us AND we are still Examining By Mail from 2008!!!), some Historic Tyler business and the routine stuff... Time to get back to the remodel!

Hope you are all enjoying your week!  You are my bright spots during break times!  LOL!

blessings to all ~ tanna

Tanna, I love that pumpkin. It is so pretty and how sweet of them to think of you when they saw it. What a sweet hubby to give you flowers. Mine thinks it is a waste of money. He just doesn't get it. Hope your project gets better.

The Little Men are happy to hear you love the prize they sent you. And they've told me that they'll soon talk to Pop Pop on the particulars of selecting flower arrangements for the future ladies in their lives because he always seems to get it right. What a beauty that bouquet is! Blessed indeed! Hope the reno projects get back on the right track! Xoxoxoxoxo

Let's face it, you have special men through multi generations! I have never taken on a remodel. I know how exhausting my little projects are so I can only imagine.

I loved both the surprise pumpkin and the flowers. Your man is a man after my own heart.

What a sweet little pumpkin...I've never seen anything quite like it! And the bouquet is so full of all the joys of fall. You must have felt truly blessed to be the recipient of so much love.

And yes, I know what pitfalls and joys a reno can bring. Many years ago I was immersed in a full house reno on a home that was built in 1915...while living in it...ouch! (I'll also add that the marriage didn't make it through the process...but I can laugh about it all now!! ;)

You are one lucky gal to have all that attention bestowed on you (and just when you needed it)! The flowers are gorgeous and the little silver pumpkin is so sweet. It reminds me of a cinderella pumpkin because it is glimmery. You see? You are their Cinderella.

Tanna, that little pumpkin is precious! and so thoughtful, as well. I can certainly relate to the renovation status. I won't be painting for a while, but I'll call you when I start. :) The flowers are lovely! I think I'll get a bouquet for the weekend.

Sounds as though you're going 100 miles an hour!!! Hopefully you'll be able to kick back and relax before too much longer! Just knowing the special people in your life are thinking of you can help take the edge off the snags (that always happen) in your current remodel.
Best,
Susan

Oh my, all the beauty! Isn't it just like a loving Father to send a glow of love to remind us what is important (and who)? Press on... He says, through those He has placed in our lives to be His hands and arms and feet and mouths. Yes, you are blessed!

The pumpkin~ is it mercury glass? I just LOVE it!

Hi Tanna - just wanted to stop by and thank you for your kind words about my church project! It felt good to be painting again. I hope it got me all charged up to get back to my artwork - especially since the weather will keep us indoors more soon (well, at least we think it will!)

Can't take any credit for the painting tho - I have to praise the Lord for what He's given me and quit hiding it under a bushel!
Have a wonderful week!
