Couldn't Stand It

Okay, y'all.  I just couldn't stand to not use all of the beautiful Noro Taiyo yarn I ordered for this project.  So... I added the sleeves called for in the pattern.

Unfortunately, I STILL have a skein and a good part of a second one left.  My brain is whirring on what I could do to use all of this beautiful yarn.... a hat... a scarf... add length to the jacket...

The good news is that I LOVE. THIS. JACKET!!  I really liked it as a vest, but I love it even more as designed!  So glad I couldn't stand the waste of yarn.  My Beloved laughed and shook his head saying, "Oh, my frugal bride."  I'm not sure I could consider my yarn addiction frugal.  Ha! But, I'm not a waster of the yarn goodness.  ;)

(Knitaddict, I added what I could about the underarm decreases on my Ravelry page here.)

I was so sad when our LYS closed it's doors (for a second time).  But, I have to say, I've become quite fond of receiving these beautiful packages in the mail!  It's like Christmas every. single. time!

I'm excited and nervous... I'm seriously considering swatching after my last experience with the Flat Rib Popover Vest.  Considering.

Hoping I can resist the urge to just take off without the SWATCH!  Ha!

The yarn and the jacket are beautiful and look so cute on you! I finished a knitted poncho this week and currently working on a scarf for a dear friend.

Tanna, you are so funny! Good call on the "vest' sleeves; it looks great on you. If you knit a hat, maybe you'd have enough yarn to make some mitts, too?
(but not any with the vikkel stitch.....) Is the pattern that's hard to see what you're thinking of doing next? Whatever, have a great day and lots of knitting or crocheting fun.

Oh I KNOW you should swatch, but doesn't it seem like a waste of time that you could actually be MAKING something?

The new project looks BEAUTIFUL!

It looks awesome on you. Love that yarn! Sad about the yarn shop closing, al of ours have closed here, too. Very sad. Ok, I never swatch, and I am always sorry for that....you know Gauge is a four letter word to me....just saying...but I would swatch in the future...only because it takes so long to make something big and you want to make sure you can wear it afterwards. I always enjoy seeing the beautiful things you create. You are alway so talented. Wishing you a day filled with many blessings sweet friend. :)

Your sweater jacket is so pretty, Tanna, and looks terrific on you. A matching hat would be nice, too. Have a great weekend!

Love it in the jacket too . . .
Beautiful . . , and not wasteful at all . . .
A hat might be spiffy . . . in a soft slouch style . . .
