A Different Kind of Christmas...
Our Christmas was very different this year... Just My Beloved and me... quiet time together... reading... knitting (good thing I got that yarn wound!!)... all in front of a big old fire!
We enjoyed Candlelight Services on Christmas Eve... then a nice meal at home...
Early Christmas morning found us sipping our coffee by firelight... and Christmas lights... and recalling Christmas Pasts...
We managed a VERY cold early morning walk before preparing and taking Christmas lunch to a homebound friend (six days post total knee replacement). Lots of laughter and love in our visit with Troy and Kathy! I won't say we didn't miss our Loves. But, we focused the many, many blessings we enjoy... most of all The Gift of our Savior... and it was a good Christmas.
We'll be catching up with our Loves as the demands of Christmas pass... and we will treasure that time, until then, CHEERS to savoring the last week of 2017!!

Beautiful pictures. I love the room by firelight and the warm glow of the Christmas tree. Enjoy the rest of the year and may God bless you in the new year.
Andrew and I had Christmas for just the two of us. It was lovely! We missed the children but had them for Thanksgiving. Best to you and your "beloved". When you are with the children, please give my best to Amanda and family!! Good wishes to all of you for the new year.
Best,
Bonnie
I enjoyed your lovely, warm photos, Tanna. So nice to hear your enjoyed your cozy Christmas and managed to do a friendly good deed at the same time. Stay warm!

Must have been a reason . . .
We too spent Christmas Day together . . .
It was welcomed after days of family, frivolity and food, filling our home . . .
No relaxing for Mister Irish . . . bitter cold, non stop snow, wind, blizzard . . .
Truly an old fashioned December . . .
I liked your thought . . .
Happy last week of 2017 . . .
Your pictures tell the story well, and are beautiful. We're having more Christmases like yours, and they become sweeter as we grow older. I love that you could take a meal over to your friends--I'm sure that meant so much to them! Enjoy this week between! I am.
It seems as if it was pretty magical Tanna:) I just strated my next little post and wrote it's all about the feelings....I can tell your feelings were loving and warm and calm and spiritual..and beautiful..each other..your memories..church..and being good and kind to someone in need.
xx
your Christmas sounds relaxing! Mine is so busy that I can't catch my breath.
oh merry christmas to you! it sounds like it was very relaxing and you focused on the reason for the season!! i enjoyed the photos very much!!
Sounds like a very good way to spend the day even if you could't be with family. The tree and that fire sure look cozy. Blessings, Tammy
I'm sure your family missed you, but it sounds like a "sweet" day alone with your husband. It will be a special memory I'm sure. Sweet blessings, Cathie
What a sweet thing to do for your friends by taking a meal to them.
Your time together sounds very sweet and relaxing. You look beautiful in your selfie.
We are enjoying a quiet week now that we are back home from our daughters. We usually make the long drive to Texas after our daughter's house but our son is with his in-laws in Virginia. We had both kids here for Thanksgiving.
Loved the photos of your Christmas, Tanna. Isn't it amazing that once upon a time there were just the two of you? I think of that every time we get together with extended family. What are you making with the pretty grey yarn?
Enjoy these last few years of 2017, a year that went by very quickly! Best wishes for 2018!
Tanna, Your Christmas sounds lovely, quiet, peaceful and caring. What could be better? Enjoy our special time together, there will many days filled with lots of family activity.
I would never have thought before that a Christmas Day with just the two of us would be nice, but it was this year. RH was sick, and contagious, so we stayed home alone. I don't know if I'd want to do it every year but somehow it went sweetly and drew us even closer.
Your fire is entrancing! I would want to sit by that for hours.
I love your selfie! Cute as can be, both of you! Blessing to you in the New Year, Dewena
So glad you two got a chance to be together. I know you will soon see all your sweet loves and then you can celebrate all over again. :) Wishing you a most blessed New Year sweet friend. ((hugs))
I know you sure missed all your loves....however, sometimes we just have to adjust and roll with the flow. Looks like you all did a great job with that. When you do see those little ones....the time will be so super special.....Love all your pictures.... Happy New Years to you and yours..
It sounds like a very relaxing and nice Christmas you had! Merry Christmas to you and your family!
Sounds perfect to me Tanna...
Remembering who started it all!!
Cheers my friend....and a wonderful year ahead...
