Gratitudes...
Grateful for Tom, who made me smile every time I looked out and saw him or pulled in the drive coming home...
For a chocolate cake that came out just right for The Boys... large and small.
For the FUN we had at One Way Out! An Escape Room in Tyler, TX... who knew?! So. much. FUN! Highly recommend this!!
For the JOY of a scavenger hunt at Trail Creek Farm ... after finding our Christmas tree... (Also highly recommend this fun place!)...
Grateful for the beautiful weather we enjoyed...
AND, for finding this little mouse from our OLD Advent calendar! He had been missing the past couple of years and I found him while going through decorations for a fresh tree (we've tried artificial for awhile) and are back to the real deal this year.
It was a good Thanksgiving.
It was a sad Thanksgiving...
In less than two weeks, we lost two dear-to-us souls... I am grateful that Miss Evelyn and Johnny are no longer bound by earthly pain or suffering... They are well loved and will be deeply missed. Any prayers for the comfort of their families are much appreciated.
The Christmas tree is up... a good many of decorations are out... still, there is a lot to do...
But, oh, how quickly this season will pass.
May Peace fill all of our hearts...

Your weather looks delightful. Oh, that cake looks delicious. How fun to have a real tree; the fragrance is wonderful, I'm sure.
My sympathy in the loss of your two friends. May God comfort each of you who loved them.
so glad mousie was found....baby Jesus was missing for a couple years from our nativity set and we had to pretend that he just wasn't born yet. I did a major whoop when he was discovered snuggled down in the corner of a cupboard behind the artificial 'fir' smell, which went out when we decided to do a live tree. Many good reasons for going 'live'!!!
Our Cincinnati grand kids have requested 'events' for Christmas this year, and the escape room is one of them. Can't wait to do it with them!!! Yours looks like great fun.
Seeing Tom in the front yard would cheer me up too . . .
And I wouldn’t refuse any of that cake!
I like your gratitudes . . .
Sounds like you had fun times with your family . . .
in the scavenger hunt and picking out your live tree.
Happy you found your little mouse!
Oh my, the memories that come to mind with all our treasures!
I find keeping a focus on grateful thoughts, experiences, loved ones
helps to foster my well being and happiness . . .
So much more so than all the negativity
that seems to filter into our daily lives.
Let’s keep Peace and Joy ever present . . .
Happy December Days tanna . . .
I'm behind reading blogs with having family for a week at Thanksgiving. Nice to catch up today. I never had time to open my computer and barely looked at any texts.
I enjoyed seeing all you have been up to and smile thinking of the blessings of family doing things together.
I am sorry about the loss of your friends. We have loss precious ones recently, also.
So glad you found Mr. Mouse. I'm looking for a sheep from one of my nativities.
Your joie de vivre is so evident here Tanna.I am happy for you.supercalifragilistically.
What a bright and happy post, in spite of the sadness of the loss of ones you love. If you went to "one of those rooms" with the boys, it must be fun! Maybe we should give it a try. I'm glad your family has moved closer!
It looks like you had a wonderful family Thanksgiving, Tanna! WE did too, and now I'm also trying to decorate for Christmas a little at a time.
So sorry for your losses--prayers for their families.
so sorry for your losses. Looks like you had a wonderful Thanksgiving :)
Losing two beautifl souls anytime of year is hard but especially during the Holidays. Thank you for reminding us to be grateful.
