Milking...

The beautiful Tulip Trees throughout the neighborhood shout that spring is on its way!!  And, I just love it!

Two weeks ago,  I unpacked my watercolor "stuff".  And, then I stared at it for a week... I always feel immobilized  after stopping ANYTHING for awhile... but, particularly with painting.  It's like I'm afraid I can't do it.  I've found that, while the fear of "ruining" something I've already started is GREAT,  a partially done painting is my best place to start back.  It's like jumping in the pool... takes your breath away... but, then it gets better.

I started this one in my last Soon Y. Warren workshop in 2014 and am happy to report that it was EXCITING to call it finished last week!  I haven't had time to start a new project yet... that will be my next hurdle.  LOL!

I enjoyed a wonderful lunch with one of my dearest friends, Milha.  The company was good as always and the DECOR of The Grove in Tyler, TX just rings my bell!  This is an outdoor area they have... one of many fun, fun spots to enjoy for an 'eat, drink and be merry' adventure.

You just have to love this!  Milk life for all it's worth!!

Let's get out there and start milking.  ;)

I thought this was going to be a post about dairy farming!! I remember your lovely paintings and am happy to hear that you are back to them. No beautiful blooms around here. In fact, we've had less than an inch of snow but really frigid temperatures.

Best,
Bonnie

Oh sweet friend, your paintings are so beautiful. I see that lovely sunflower trying to pop off the canvas as it seeks the light from the window. The sailboat leaves me smiling, for I can hear the seagulls flying over head, feel the gentle breezes off the bay as I sit and watch the waves lap one over another. The roses by the other window make me smile for I can imagine that they fill the room with that familiar fragrance that makes ones heart skip a beat. Oh friend, you are such a gifted artist. In all the things you do, you do them with love and grace. ((hugs)) Blessings always.

Sometimes a friendly push or milking is what is needed to get started.
So happy to see you have picked up your brushes, cause you have talent.
What a great space to paint, lot of light!

Looking forward to seeing blossoms on our trees instead of snow (it snowed again today!). Those Tulip blossoms are beautiful and the tree is massive.

You go girl!

What a fun post. Your painting ended up so well and how fun it will be to start a new one for you. I think blossoms are on the way here too--74 today and daffodils blooming. Ha--love the milk life analogy. How true! It's a choice to make.

Tanna, you are a very gifted artist! That is a beautiful painting. I love seeing the blooming tree in February. I remember when my brother lived in TX that he was usually planting some things in his garden in Feb. It seemed unreal to me here in MO. :) Have a nice week!

Tanna, that painting is just amazing! Wow! And even though we're still deep in snowbanks up here in NW Wisconsin, it's nice to know that somewhere it's approaching springtime. :-) I hope you have a wonderful Wednesday and the rest of the week. - Judy

Wow! Such beautiful blossoms already blooming there? We have had a very mild and snow less winter so far, but we are many months away from seeing flowers growing. I think our spring may be cold and snowy to make up for the lack of winter snow.

Your watercolor is lovely! I like the vibrant coloras and design. Well done!

Yes to milking - and to trying things in spite of our fear of it not turning out exactly like we would like. Here's to getting back on the horse again...
