I must have the Luck o' the Irish coming this way. Last week was much better! The Terminix guys did clean up their mess and... so far... no sign of any intruders. Couldn't wait until March for my lucky shamrocks and leprechaun! Hee hee. Just makes me smile!
Not a single stitch of knitting or crochet was done last week! The SPRING FEVER has me! I'm sure Old Man Winter will bite us again; and, knowing that, I'm trying to restrain myself from getting too carried away with plants.
But... these two pots were pre-planted at Lowe's ($19.95) and I could not resist. Swiss Chard and lettuce... we will be enjoying these for dinner, too. ;)
And, this combo of cilantro, basil and parsley! Love. All the azaleas are about to pop throughout the area. Ours are still a little pitiful even after water and fertilizer last year (they were pretty much goners when we moved in), but they are getting ready to put on the best show they can. I am looking forward to really seeing some changes in the yard this year!!
Amanda sent this photo of my Alex last week. He had walked into the kitchen with a quote he had written on a piece of Manila paper and taped to his chest: "think only happy and posedev thots". I believe our souls are kindred. ;)
Let's keep thinking our "posedev thots" and have a wonderful week!

Ah... Old Man Winter keeps stopping by our area. But I do see sunshine heading our way.
That's for the tip at Lowes! Heading over for the herb planter!
"Posedev thots" can't be any cuter!!
I love all that pretty green. I am so tired of winter. I can't wait to everything around here starts to turn green. Right now we are in the browns. Yuck!
Spring, oh Spring...where are you?
Such a sweetie. Alex is always smiling, and he's growing tall, too. :)
Blessings to you and yours always sweet friend. ((hugs))
Love the quote....so true and love the spelling..just makes it all the more betterer. hahahaha...
Love the lettuce planter....what a great idea!
I think that quote speaks to us all. Happy Spring!
Oh my gosh Alex is so big!!! Love his quote - I'll have to steal that one :) And your house - Tanna - it is absolutely gorgeous. You must be so happy there. And I am happy for you! Blessings, hugs and happy thoughts!!!
LOVE seeing Green . . .
Yay for your showing us your plantings and the St Patrick's Day greens too.
And that little handsome one says it perfectly, have "posedev thots" . . .
(Loved it!)
(Kindered spirit for sure!)
The green is a little slow in coming to this part of the world this year. I am with you on the anticipation of azaleas - they are such beauties. Your little fellow is adorable. I like his life view!
Tiny bits of green grass are popping up in our yard, and I'm excited to see it! This spring I've been so excited that I will see blooms in March instead of late April like I have the last several years!! Woohoo! XOXO
Alex and his posedev thots is just darling! And how wonderful to have plants outdoors that aren't frozen under snow!!!
he's so cute and I for one just love their phonetic spelling..the words are truer♥
He's so cute Tanna.
Well needless to say you are well ahead of us there..no green yet except indoors..very different Feb/March ..it's pouring on snowbanks today..w/ that Wuthering Heights fog..
I am glad you have not seen hide nor hair of you know what.
The plants you bought are lush!
Give me curly parsley over flat in a garden any day..so much more prolific..here anyway.
hip hip hooray to the vermin who are no more :) Look at that greenery you have down there! We are still looking at lots of brown. Today it's raining so it's quite dismal outside as well.. love the quote and the spelling attempts!
I must look at Lowe's for the preplanted pots. Thanks for the tip.
I understand how you have to restrain yourself about buying too many plants yet. We have had crazy weather. You don't know how to dress when you leave for the day!
My mind is whirling with ideas for my garden. We love it don't we!
Alex is just like you, positive and upbeat! Growing so fast. My grandson will turn 15 this month! Hard to believe. He is taller than all of us except his Dad. His sister, age 12, is also taller than me. Time passes quickly and it seems like yesterday, she began part of our family adopted from the Ukraine at age four.
Have a great week, Tanna.
I was shocked to see an azalea bush in full bloom by a corner of our house that is hidden from the inside. Glorious, and another about to pop! What an interesting spring we are having. Your house is pretty-- I love a house with dormers. Grew up in one and live in one now … What a sweet quote your young man has written out and thought about. Your daughter is so thoughtful with her texts!
Oh your grandson's note on his chest. Precious my friend. Happy Spring!! XO Laurie
Love your planters...how lovely to have fresh herbs and greens..
Aren't grandchildren THE BEST! E V E R !!! Love the way they express their feelings...💕
Happy March!
Cheers!
Linda :o)
"posedev thots" --love that! So much better than the other kind and a very good goal.
Your pots of salad makings look delicious!
Such a handsome young man! Love his posedev thots! So cute. I will have to keep an eye out for plants at Lowes. I love the herbs. It won't be long until we're planting! Yay! Take care. xxCheryl
PS love the shot of your house! Were you up in the tree to get that shot? :)
How nice to see a bit of green and a big happy smile.

Your grandson is getting so big (as are mine)! I love his philosophy--best way to live!
I have not put my shamrocks out as yet--must get a move on ...lol
My daughter had a business trip to Austin, TX, and raved about the weather, the food, the beauty. I think I need to see more of Texas soon!
Precious! Love his quote!
don't you wish children ruled the world?
