Good Intentions.... and Random Acts of Kindness Week 2

My Random Act of Kindness (by Betsy) fell by the way of good intentions this week... Just like this photo I took last spring and intended to paint... well, the good intentions get you no where... it is the doing that makes the difference.  Seems like EVERYTHING this week went askew of the intent.

BUT, Dotsie (Podso) sent me a link that has one of the most beautiful writings I've read about LOVING Acts of Kindness... note they were not random.  I've been thinking on this all week.  It is a wonderful read.  So, I'm passing it on... Thank you, Dotsie.

Betsy, I'm going to try to do better next week!  Thank you so much for hosting such an inspiring project!  (I'll have to do 2 next week!  ;) )

Tanna, what a wonderful world blogging is! I followed the link that Podso sent you and was completely distracted from the post when I saw the name Miriam Rockness at the top of the blog.

You see, when we had moved to FL years ago and I had our 3rd and 4th children there, in my late 30s, I happened across a small book by Miriam Rockness about her life with her small children. It literally got me through those years of having left behind my home in TN and the blessed but tiring years of having two more children over a decade after having our first two children. I wore that book out reading it over and over for inspiration.

I left a comment there to thank her for that little book. It was so nice to read that her small children have grown up and now given her 13 grandchildren!

By sharing this heart-felt story, you pasted on your kindness (RAK).
It's reaching out, teaching, showing and touching the hearts others, in time of need.
I loved this story. We all can do more, if we choose.

Tanna, you do more good than you even realize. Thanks for posting the story about RAK, I really enjoyed reading it. I have a plaque in my granddaughter's room here at my house that reads, "Because Nice Matters" reading the story reminded me of that.

I really loved reading the story of Sister Eva. I could just picture the change in those who received roses on the train. Sharing acts of kindness is definitely something I believe in and try to practice often. Just something as simple as giving someone a smile can make a big difference in someone's day. It has in mine.
Blessings to you, Tanna, a sweet and kind friend to the blogging community!

This is wonderful. I think that as a society we've become so utterly selfish that this was very inspirational!

I am so loving these loving acts of kindness posts. I hope you'll share your two from this week! I read the post that Dotsie shared -- wonderful. "But we all have it within our power to do simple things kindly – a single flower, figuratively speaking, can make a garden of difference to the recipient." Amen! I'm off to open my eyes a little more to the world around me and teach my babies how one small act can make a garden of difference. =) xoxo

Tanna, my mom just shared a saying she found the other day on the web with me. I think many can find inspiration and comfort in it - 'You will get there when you are meant to get there and not one moment sooner.'
Don't be so hard on yourself. You random act of kindness is in all the love and hope you spread through blogging. The encouraging words you take the time to share with us when you come to visit our blogs. Thank you for sharing that beautiful blog post. So beautifully said.
Take care! xo, Tammy

Dear Tanna, We are also judged by our thoughts and intentions. I know that it is better to act, but if your thoughts are good and kind that is also important.
You are a lovely person dear Tanna. There is always room for improvement in all of us. We are imperfect but always striving.
Blessings dear. xoxoxo Catherine

I have had many weeks like this...sigh. I think as you get older, it is just a sign of slowing down and smelling the roses...at least this is what I tell myself. Smile. Have a great weekend. I will be having the best weekend ever...snuggling with my new granddaughter.
