Love Train by Susan Ashcroft
The colors of this Debbie Bliss Baby Cashmerino are a beautiful pinkish-orange coral. My last photos made it look really orange (it was a dark rainy day... and I couldn't wait... and I'm not good at "fixing" my photos... or waiting... hee hee).
The design is LOVE TRAIN and its my fourth Susan Ashcroft (stitchnerd) pattern. I really enjoy her laid back approach to knitting and received this pattern right after I finished my Hogwart's Express Shawl, a.k.a The Great White Owls, earlier this year. As much as I loved it, I just couldn't bring myself to do another pattern with cable stitches at that time... Yes, I'm a klutz... handling just that one-more-curved-little-cable-needle is a struggle.
THEN: ENTER NEEDLE-LESS CABLES!! Fabulous method of doing the cables with the two needles already in my hands! And, the cables turned out really neat and tidy! I highly recommend adding this trick to your repertoire of knitting skills!
My concerns about disliking a solid-colored yarn were ill-founded. Amanda wore it one night and I couldn't take my eyes off the color (or maybe it was her)!
AND, it went with the OLD cotton shift perfectly!! Yea!!
Great design... sits easily on your shoulders... wears comfortably. Yep, it's a keeper.
For knitters who want all the skinny on this shawl: Ravelry page here.
Joining Kim's Wow Us Wednesdays because that cable trick is just too good not to share!!

The color is beautiful. It looks lovely on you. Very fallish (oops, I'm sounding like my mother who categorized colors with seasons). I believe this was on your beach trip?
Best,
Bonnie
It turned out lovely. I may have to knit this one! It is just beautiful!! Looks great on you. Love how that yarn turned out!
you're gorgeous in this color, Tanna!
Hi Tann. Pink Perfection. Lovely to see it worn by you. You look lovely with it draped around your shholders.
Tanna, you look beautiful in that shawl! I prefer solid colors when knitting lace or cables. It seems like the texture shows up so much better. I'm going to try that cable trick. I use two dpn's now which is pretty easy but I'm ready to try something new.
Oh it is just yummy! Mouth watering yummy in fact! Love the color and the lace around the edges.
Are you trying to get me pulled back into knitting again?
Must divert eyes, must not look...must resist.........
Hugs and blessings always sweet friend
Wow Tanna, the shawl is beautiful!!
this is a gorgeous color for you!

This is so beautiful and the color is perfect for you and the dress. You know I love to cable, so I'm going to ck out that cable trick before starting the cowl for my daughter! They are perfect looking that's for sure.
As you know...one of my favourite colours and it looks stunning on you. A beautiful pattern. It looks like a happy time with the family...love the cute bubble machine!
What a lovely shawl . You wear it well. I Love the quote about the flower..it is SO true Tanna
It's the Croc family!! LOL. Your shawl is beautiful and you both look so happy smiling down at your grandson in that last picture. He looks pretty happy with his bubble toy too!
beautiful!!! Another fantastic shawl made by you, you are so very talented :)
The color is fabulous and deserves to stand alone. You should do a tutorial on how you put it on as I'm looking for the ends. It does look so nice and I'd say your grands have some young-looking grandparents! :-)
I love this color and on you it is even more beautiful. Skinny shawls are so neat! Also love that photo of you guys with your little man. Oh...so...sweet.
Blessings on the rest of your week, dear Tanna!
Love the 3 sets of Croc feet! It makes my heart happy to see you having such a great time. Love, d.
Nice shawl, and thanks for the great cables trick. Can't wait to try it.
You are incredible, getting this whipped up so fast. It is gorgeous, a beautiful shade of pinkish, orangish loveliness. You look fantastic in it. Well done my friend,
Meredith
The shawl is gorgeous, and the color perfect! I was happy when I read that you learned to cable without the aid of a cable needle. I learned that time saving step awhile ago and was about to share with you, but at las you know ! :)
This may be another shawl to add to my to knit list.
Such a beautiful color! And you look beautiful wearing this lovely piece!
Love the photos and quote! Thanks for sharing.
This shawl is beautiful, color is wonderful. I love your blog ;)
This shawl and color is beautiful on you! Perhaps I will knit one up myself. Knit On!
It is a lovely color and looks great on you. All spread out it looks big but on you it is just right and seems to be one small piece rather than a long shawl. It even looks great with crocs. :) Yes, tears were shed when I left Yusef in the States, but this is his time to fly! Thanks for your visit. Best wishes, Tammy
Dear Tanna, This color is magnificent. I love it. The shawl is darling. Blessings dear. Catherine xo
I love it! JUST love it...it compliments your light coloring too!
Isn't that beautiful! Love the color, too!
You are a cutie and I love the color on you - it is beautiful. Love your dimples too.
Oh Tanna, it reminds me of my lovely rose lacy one you sent me. I love and use it.
