When I saw there was going to be a Mystery Knit Along named Out of Darkness by Boo Knits starting on August 25, I knew it was the perfect motivation for finishing all my UFO (unfinished objects) and my "chore knitting" a.k.a. anything other than a shawl. Boo Knits most frequently uses this Tussa Silk by Dye For Yarn... Now, I really have motivation! My first Tussa silk. I still need to find 700 beads for this little mystery...
And... finish up my UFOs!! I did get this one finished. Schwaan by Nora Gaughan. Info here on Ravelry.
This is a very quick knit (though it took me months to finish it!) worked with a double strand of linen and cotton.
One more down, a few more to go!! I did have one slight

Very pretty, especially on you. I wonder if your diversion had anything to do with little men? Whatever it was, I hope it was a good one and not a bad one.
This looks terrific on you! You are such a lovely lady :) This sweater fits you perfectly. Very nice - so happy you finished it - that's a keeper!
When I finish a project that has languished either on the needles or on the computer I feel lighter - less burdened! It's the guilt of the unfinished item calling me! So nice to silence it!
You are so CUTE! I don't like blue, but you make it look good...really good!
Now, that bright red and beads....woohoo!
Chore knitting - that cracks me up.
I love this! And looks so good on your. How do you determine sizing in knitting? You're getting me all interested.
Oh, Tanna it is so elegant. Perfect silhouette! Nice for the skin in summer evenings or for cool summer. I am sure you will wear this lovely pullover any way.
Yikes! 700 beads. I can't even imagine working with two LOL And to make something mysterious with them? Oh, I can hardly wait for your work to begin.
Your finished UFO is gorgeous. The color would make me think of blue skies every day.
SO pretty! and you are your best model. :)
Very becoming Tanna - You are such an artist with the needle! I love that blue color on you. :)
This looks beautiful on you! You did such a great job. I love it! :)
I can't wait to see what you knit up for the Mystery KAL, they are always fun.
Blessings always :)
You are flying again...how wonderful and how beautiful!
Every time you post one of your treasures, I think it is my favorite... Can all of them be my favorite. This is so so darling, and just fits your shape perfect.
Love chatting with you on my blog!
Have a great day.
That is a beautiful top that you knitted. The color is gorgeous too. I'm sure you look forward to completing your unfinished projects. Just in time for the holiday season to start up. I bet you make a lot of pretty things as gifts then.
Great sweater! I love the front of it. I've got a sweater UFO and need to get cracking on it, so this is inspiration. (Not to mention all the scarves, socks, etc.) Your tussa silk looks like a fun one. Have you tried Earthfaire for beads. (Great online selection for beads and yarn....) Like you need another source, eh? lol
The color of the silk yarn is just gorgeous. I also love that sweater. Have a great day. Blessings...Mary
I love the blue color and the style is so becoming on you. It seems that you complete things very fast to me.
Your garden in the background looks nice.
Have a great week.
Very pretty...love the patterns, front and hem line. Very well done.

p.s If I ever actually get something knitted.. you can be my model :)
Your recent finish is a lovely color and has such pretty detail. 700 beads! Yikes! I can't even imagine stringing all those. But I know you will do it and the outcome will be gorgeous as always. Happy August! Tammy
Wow! It's beautiful! I love that pattern.
Have you added on to your house yet? All of these beauties need their very own room!
Blue is your color....love it!
Hi Tanna, I couldn't tell you exactly why but I find that I'm very drawn to the look and feel and the colours and texture of yarn. That top photograph is lovely - great colour, plus of course, what you end up doing with it!
Pretty sweater, pretty color and pretty model...You are so stinkin' cute :-)
Love ya,
❤Ana
I am a fan of the things that motivate. We ALL need those things from time to time, don't we? CUTE blue sweater. Is this the one you were telling me about the other day?
With all that you have going on, do you sleep?
Great blue sweater.
The new scane looks intriguing with the skull and cross bones.
I love this one too Tanna...love the v-neck and how it is nipped in at the waist...you have a darling figure for it!!!
Your daughter's knit sweater is beautiful, you do such lovely work. I have been reading a book entitled, "The Sweetgum Knit Lit Society", fictional of course, but it's about a group of Christian ladies who have formed a Book Club of knitters. The author is Beth Pattillo. Very enjoyable read! There are two in this series that I've found so far.
Have a wonderful weekend!
Hugs, Cindy
The yarn's label made me laugh out loud! You have the prettiest sweaters around!
xo Cathy
That is stunning! The lace pattern is beautiful!
Oh yeah, we all know about the UFO's...I had a big box of unfinished crafts at one time and finally just threw it out (unopened) rather than be racked with guilt any longer! Your sweater is VERY cute and looks just lovely on you.
Dear Tanna, What a beautiful color. You look beautiful.
It is fulfilling to finish these projects.
Blessings dear. Catherine xoxo
This is a gorgeous sweater and it looks especially lovely on you, Tanna! I love the color and the weave like pattern on the bodice and hem. I can't believe you lack nay "motivation" --you are a knitting marvel!
Love your blue sweater. It looks perfect on you. I can't believe how much your lovely daughter looks like you.
Hopefully we'll connect over on the Boo Knits forum while knitting our mystery shawls...I bought some DFY Tussah as well.
Stay well
Arlene
I'm knitting the Boo Knit Mystery too...have you started? I'm also using the Tussah from DFY.
