In The Arms of the Angels...
Strains of Sarah McGlachlan singing, "... in the arms of the angels... fly away..." ran softly through my mind as I removed the blocking pins...
I could hardly wait to get the last pin out so I could swirl it around my shoulders...
Thoughts of angel arms and soft wings danced through my mind...
As much as I struggled with this yarn, I could not be more pleased with the outcome...
And, even though the temperatures neared 100 in our Texas heat, I wrapped these angel arms around myself, cranked the A/C up in my Mini and motored about tending my chores... with warmth on my shoulders and in my heart...
Once again, I find healing in knitting one stitch at a time... and see the lessons of struggle, perseverance and reward... A special thanks to Boo Knits for such a gorgeous pattern...
Wishing you all a wonderful weekend, surrounded by your own angel arms... whatever they may be.

Exquisite, Tanna. Perhaps ethereal is the right word.
Thank you for putting Sarah McLaughlin's song in my head for the day. It's one I love and it has been played at some very moving times in my life.
Wishing you a good weekend....
Tanna, Honora took the word right out of my mouth, exquisite!
wow. it really is beautiful - and light and airy.
Absolutely perfect! You have such a talent with your knitting. It has been a long time since I knit with this type of yarn, but I do remember that trying to correct a mistake turned out to be quite an undertaking. Yes, it is cooler in Montana. Enjoying the weather and actually getting quite a bit of rain which is unusual, but it holds down the forest fires.
Oh my I'm twirlling with you, I can just see the joy and peace on your face as you feel the warmth of your angel wings, and the warmth of the Father smiling down on you.. How truly unspeakable bring the Father pleasure... I'm sure you did.
Loving you this morning..Hope it cools down...hot here too.

Just when I thought you couldn't top your last shawl, you present this master piece!
You gave it the perfect name, In The Arms of Angels.
Such a beauitful song for such a beauitful shawl. I don't think I've ever seen one so pretty. I love the first picture. The amount of work you put into this is amazing and the beads, too. Such a precious piece.
That was exquisite - no other word for it. And I can see how you feel it comforts you like angel wings. It Does! I just love it and love you too! sandie

A perfect description for this beautiful creation Tanna! A true work of art.
All the time reading this post i hear: "They Say It's Wonderful... "
Tanna it is really wonderful! Photos, text, your knitting -just all.
It is the most beautiful thing I've seen you create to date! I knew it would be.
I love what you said about healing one stitch at a time, too. One of my spiritual mentors used to say that sometimes we take life a day at a time, and sometimes we take it a tick at a time. I love a stitch at a time even more!
I'm hearing the song. I'm happy to have it replace the one I've been hearing all week.
Your shawl is exquisite. Really - the prettiest so far. I love the unexpected pearl beads. Just like angel's tears.
Oh Tanna, this new knit does look like an angel's wings are wrapped around your shloulder. It is exquisite!
That is just beautiful! I'm sure knitting is very therapeautic for you. You'll have to model it for us now.

Hugs to you wrapped in the wings of angels. <3
Dear Tanna, This is perfection. It is stunning. I love it.
The is a perfect lesson for us all; knitting one stitch at a time and making it to the end to smile at the results. I am sure the angels are hugging you both with and without the shawl. I am happy that this brought so much pleasure for you.
Blessings dearest. Catherine xoxo
That really is wonderful. I does look angelic and almost not real.
Beautiful, beautiful work (should I really even call it work???) Be careful it doesn't "fly away!"
Best, Susan
