Almost Recovered...

People!  I have been exhausted!  The Historic Tyler on Tour was a wonderful success.  The party Friday night could not have been more perfect; the weekend was busy and we enjoyed a steady flow of visitors; and, it has taken the whole first half of the week to tie up the loose ends and do the numbers.

As it stands, we enjoyed the most successful Tour to date.   My friend, Barbara, sent me this beautiful flower arrangement Friday at the start of the weekend.  It cheered me and reminded me of her constant support every time I left the house and returned.  Big smiles and warm fuzzies.

It was great fun, lots of work and a wonderful success.  I'm glad its over.  ;)

Now, back to blogging!  LOL!

That's the thing about big events. We anticipate and work toward them so long and hard, we're exhausted when finished. Take some time and relax--you deserve it. Congradulations of your most successful event. It all looked wonderful.
Best,
Susan

Three cheers for the most successful tour to date! I know something like this takes a lot of effort to coordinate and manage; seeing the fruits of your labor yield those kind of results is such a reward! Yea! I'm so glad the weather cooperated, too!

PS - Love the flowers from Barbara. What a nice treat to enjoy amidst the in and out, to and fro of the day! Love you!

Tanna, thank you so much for visiting my blog and leaving me a comment so I could return the favor, and boy, what eye candy! I knew you had to be a southern "sista" when I saw all the gorgeous homes you are featuring in Tyler, Texas.

When you get a chance, check out my post "April in Talladega" from last April where I visited my sister and we toured some beautiful homes in her hometown of Talladega, Alabama. I think you will enjoy the tour.

P.S. I'm now a follower!

What gorgeous flowers! And such a nice gesture to recognize what I am sure were hours and hours (days and days) of hard work. I am glad to hear everything went so well. Maybe we will need to take a little road trip next year and be one of the many visitors. :)

I stumbled across your blog today, and I just love it!! I've never been to the Southern U.S., but I've always thought it looks so beautiful and fun. All of your pictures are great, and I especially love the little nightgown you're knitting for your Grandson, how sweet! :)

I have enjoyed browsing this tour so much! I'm a TX native. My parents live in Lufkin. We frequently shop in Tyler and I've never once been on this trail. It's on my to do list now! Currently residing in GA but hope to move back closer some day. Just found your beautiful blog via Melissa's. I'm your newest follower and would be delighted to have you follow me back!
Have a great weekend.

What an amazing home tour! Your photos are just beautiful and I so enjoyed all the color! :) After all, we have been featuring far too much white the past few months. You've got me itching to get out in my garden beds.

Have a wonderful weekend ~
