The Red Dragonfly

I've been waiting and watching.... Knowing one day he would be here...

Glowing crimson... hovering, darting, swooping...

Almost magical... amazing, intricate, delicate, entrancing...

Yes, the Red Dragonfly was visiting today.  Thank you, Heavenly Father for the beauty you send to me.

Tanna, we have a red dragonfly too. I have never seen one before and told my husband to take a look. That is so funny that you posted pictures of what we just discovered.

I will be on the lookout for the red dragonfly this week. Especially the ones who dive into the spitting fountain like it's a ride at Six Flags!

Wow, Tanna! That dragonfly is gorgeous! Did you ever think people would be saying that about a dragonfly?!? Several years ago, God gave me a revelation about Himself. A man was singing an a capella song in church and the pianist couldn't find the key in which he was singing. God then impressed on my heart that He is infinite in every way - in both the macro- and micro-worlds, in colors, in music, in math, in languages, etc. That was awesome! I believe there's still so much to be discovered in our world, and maybe this red dragonfly is one of the new discoveries for us. Beautiful! Thanks for sharing.

I've never seen a red dragonfly. They must be native to your neck o the woods.

Tanna - We have several; the creek is a breeding area. They greet me each morning, flying in pairs, zooming into the creek and out again, fast across the street and then back - they bang against my door. I'd never seen them until moving to this neighborhood; they were once partial to hanging out on the stalks of orange daylilies, but have found better places along the sides of the creek. I always know it is summer when they appear. Pieces of magic. Love knowing you have them also.

And PS - we still need to get together, if you're interested. :)
