We attended my niece's high school graduation this past weekend. She was so excited, so proud, so full of hope and anticipation.
Graduation feels like such a milestone at that age... something that has been so very long in coming. And, indeed, it has taken up the majority of your lifetime, at that point.
These photos were taken in the span of less than thirty minutes. The lily opened so quickly to face the day, you could almost see it moving.
At times, the thirty plus years since my own graduation seem to have passed this quickly, too. At other times... it seems a lifetime.

beautiful photos...graduation is a time to reflect...a time of excitement...one task down...more to go...
On June 6 my twin grandsons will celebrate their high school graduation. Where has all the time gone? It seems like only yesterday they were born. They have grown up to be fine strong men! I am so proud of them.

Congratulations on your niece's graduation. I know exactly what you mean about the time.
Great photos, Tanna. I need to do that with our water lillies.
Oh those pictures are wonderful...you need to frame them all!
Whip me for saying this, but you know who will be graduating if we blink twice!!!!!
Welcome Back, I've missed you!
Yes, I can relate...I feel the same way about watching my kids grow up!
Lovely photos! Time is flying.
Hugs,
Tara
So true! What great photos.
I was just thinking about when I graduated HS. You described that feeling so well of thinking how long it took to reach that point. To me that day doesn't seem that long ago. But it was exactly half my life ago. So where did those last 18 years go? And man they sure went by in a hurry!
"Sixty five years, don't they go by in a blink?"
My favorite quote from "Meet Joe Black".
Yes they do.
Well, my neck hurts with watching life go by so fast. Wonderful pictures. Where have you been? sandie
What a lovely post! And you are so right - where has time gone!?
I love the correlation between the two! Time moves by, no FLIES by so fast. I'm forever telling my two kids "slow down and enjoy life while you're young. Don't rush it...you'll be my age before you know it!"
I agree with Lauri, in a flash is how I feel about my kids growing up. I'm sure it's how you feel about Alex too. Can't believe he's going to be 1 so soon! Love the pictures!
Yes, it flies! I love your pics, and I can't believe the lily bloomed so much in 30 minutes - wow! We'd better not let Little Man near that lily or it will be destroyed.
