The Clara Dress

Recently, I saw this precious little dress on French Press Knits blog.  I followed the link straight to the place to order one for myself.  Do I have a little granddaughter to knit for?  No.  But, I ordered it and it arrived just a few days later... pattern and tiny, soft alpaca and wool yarn.

It is so dainty and a teensy bit elegant.

I think I'm starting a hope chest... again... =)  Hint.  Hint.  Hint.

That is a beautiful dress! I had to smile since, I too, have a "hope" chest. Both boys are married but fairly recently so I'm hoping!

Also hope you have a wonderful weekend.

Best,
Bonnie

Tanna, that is too cute. I need three of them for my two granddaughters and the new one coming.

Now I see why you wanted me to come read the post. So that you could drop the hint. LOL!

That is ADORABLE! I don't think I'll start a hope chest JUST yet...my boys are 5 to 12 years old! lol (and yes, I'd rather wait on them than have another one! lol)

That dress is still just precious!

Ahhh, so that's what grandmothers do...a hope chest! That is a beautiful dress and enough to light a fire under you, I am sure. But your daughter just had Little Man! Course, mine were 14 mos apart and it wasn't planned but it WAS better to get it over with...or "git 'er dun" as old whats-his-name says.

Dearest Tanna..this is absolutely the sweetest dress. Loved how you started a Hope Chest for another precious grandbaby. Now why didn't I think of that? I've been begging for a couple of years now.

Thanks for popping in over at my place. I've been busy doing some upgrades to my site as well as building some new creations behind the scenes. I can't wait to share them with you.

I've stepped away from the easel for a bit to concentrate on glasswork. Took a stained-glass course a few months past..primarily to learn to solder. And sister..I've simply lost my mind with it. I'd solder 24 hours a day if I could. Ha ha

Oh..and before I forget, Blogger has been giving me some fits too. You mentioned your updates not cooperating. I too have had some technical difficulties. I'm just glad you continued to drop by through it all. God sure blessed me with a dear friend when He sent you my way. :)

Here's hoping you and everyone you love, have an exceptionally beautiful weekend!

Joy, Blessings, & Pure Sunshine, Terri

That is the sweetest dress I have ever seen. I knit but don't have a wee one to knit for now. I do make sweet little hats for baby gifts sometimes.
I read your last few posts and enjoyed them. I just love Little Man. He is precious..Yes, you say!
Love the rain boots too.
Thanks for your comment today. The new design template has been a bit challenging but I like the look so far.
take care.

GORGEOUS!
My grandmother knits (now 95 years old) she has made MANY treasures like this over the years. My favorite looks JUST LIKE this pattern and she did it in a soft baby blue to match my Emma's eyes. I will keep it forever! I hope someday...I will have a sweet grand daughter to pass it on to...I bet you will too...
