Keep Moving...

It is very quiet in my house today.  I have kept myself moving, working, avoiding.  Started out with an hour walk, watered plants, hauled out trash.. and trash... and trash, paid bills, did laundry, straightened house, put things all back in place... so quiet, so perfect, so sad... without Little Man's face to light up every time he sees you... without those soft, slobbery kisses... without that joyous, beautiful laugh.

We did have some good times last week though...

Little Man and Pop Pop took to the seas in the Speed Racer.

Watching for fish and splashing around...

We tried on our cowboy gear for the upcoming party...

Noni stole kisses and kisses and kisses...

We watched birds and squirrels!

We chased bubbles...

Went to LM's first art show...

To see Miss Patrice's entry, Selfless!  It was beautiful!

We admired the old houses as we took our walk...

We waved our flags...

And, played some ball...

We decorated...

And, decorated...

Little Man learned about cooking on the smoker...

And baking cakes and getting ready for company!

Most of all we laughed and smiled and loved so much!  Noni misses you Little Man.  Thank you from the bottom of my heart for coming to stay with us for awhile!  We love you so big!

Oh my goodness, that adorable little boy. He has the same body build that my two boys had. I know how kissable it is! I have a blonde and a brown haired boy, both all grown up. How do you stay away from Roanoke? I must admit that it is annoying getting there via flying. I can drive from Chicago almost as fast!! That is thanks to the city fathers years ago saying "no" to making Roanoke the hub of Piedmont (U.S. Air) Airlines. They headed on down to Charlotte and the rest is history!! Thanks for sharing so many photos. I can't wait to be a grandmother!

Best,
Bonnie

Just wait til your daughter is ready to send him your way! My mother sent me to Indpls when I was 5 yrs old to see her aunt who was like a mother to her. In those days, I guess you could trust the airlines to chaperone a child. Not any more! I hear some kid was put on the wrong plane a few wks ago.

Maybe you'd best go stay with him...

Tanna, I know you miss him bunches. He is just so adorable and squeezable. I love all the photos you captured of him. I wish my grandbabies would come for a visit so I can get some decent pictures of them. The ones they take at home are just not good. Their house is so dark inside. I can't believe you put him in your pond. Too cute!

Little Man misses his Noni. And so does his momma! Every time I get sad I just think that we'll see you Saturday, and then we have a whole week again coming up soon. That eases my sadness a bit.

We really were busy last week, weren't we? This post put it all in perspective! Some days it seemed like we weren't getting much accomplished, but we certainly did! I love you! XOXOXOXOXOXO

Looks like you had a perfect party, but not as perfect as having a baby in your arms.

Well, what good is a pond if you don't use it?! Perfect wading pool for the little guy! Great pictures! And what a great backyard for a party! Can't wait to visit you and need to make a date!

Your pictures capture your grandson and your time with him so well. Our arms just ache when they leave, don't they? (sometimes literally too, ha!)

No I did those sketches on picnik...very easy and fun. Before I had a granddaugther (the others are my sister's granddaugthers) I heard Grandmas talk about how their arms ached with emptiness after their little ones would go home. That is what I originally was trying to say in my comment, but then I realized my muscles also ache !!!!

Your pictures are amazing! I'm a brand new blogger and could use any suggestions you could give me. I have a Nikon and just do auto. If you get a chance, I would be so appreciative if you would stop by my blog for some advice. I just got laid off a month ago, (public school teacher), so I have a new life to live. http://unintentionallyunemployed.blogspot.com
