Lost, Started Over and Thanksgiving

This past summer I lost (left behind in the Taco Cabana in Ft. Worth) one of my very favorite, as in most worn, shawls.  The Big Easy was  done with Susan Ashcroft's No-fuss Shade Loving Shawl pattern that I added a border from The Kaw Valley Wrap.

I'm not very good at doing a pattern a more than once, but I still. miss. that. shawl. every. single. week!  So I bought the same Noro and Big Easy II is on the needles!  Wish me luck in finishing... it's only a good replacement if it is as BIG as the first one and my knitting focus has been shamefully short spanned lately.  ;)  I'm hoping for some accountability here.

Just sharing a few happy moments from 2016...  Moments FULL of Thanksgiving...  Always wanting S'MOREs.  Ha! Ha!

I can't tell you how much I've enjoyed hearing from my blogging peeps... and beginning to catch up!  So much happens in a year... new babies... new homes... new pursuits... It has felt like 'coming home' to visit.  My life is richer because of you all.  Thank you.

You have such incentive to finish B.E.II that it will be done in no time so you can be wearing it again. Meanwhile maybe the finder of the other one is enjoying it--hopefully--maybe--tinged with a little guilt for wondering who is missing her shawl! What great family photos and your little miss--can you get a bigger hair bow? So, so cute. Brought big smiles. It is so nice having you back.

Oh, how I like the name Big Easy. I clicked back to check out your first one. I can see why you miss it and are making #2. The edges look like lace!
Was Thanksgiving at your new home?

Glad you're knitting a replacement shawl, Tanna, even though you don't like doing the same pattern twice. You'll be glad when it's done at any rate. Loved your family photos and am SO GLAD you've started blogging again. You've been missed.
