The Vacuum After The Whirlwind

The months of May and June were wild and wonderful whirlwinds of family time... You know if I have been missing for long periods there is SOMETHING going on.  =)

My brother and his wife extended their stay to cross over with the Little Men & Co.'s visit in June... and, oh, the fun we all had!!

This photo quality is pitiful... but, it was one of my favorite moments... all piled up in Noni and Pop Pop's bed at the end of a long day... they look angelic, don't they?  ;)

Yes, we had so. much. fun... Now, it is so. very. quiet.

Almost two weeks have passed since everyone left for home... I'll admit to being exhausted and enjoying a bit of the quiet time... but, that soon wears off and I find myself sitting in "the sousins (cousins) room" amidst the books and toys... remembering the laughter and sweet hugs... and the hearing "Noni" a million times a day... And, I miss my small herd.

It takes me awhile to get my wind back and ready to move on with life as it comes... I'm ready.

I'm glad to hear that you had wonderful family time. Those grandkiddos are just the cutest things ever. We are off to the States tomorrow so not sure how much I'll be around over the next 5 weeks. I never carry a laptop with me and haven't figured out how to blog through my phone or anything else. Sometimes we just have to be in the moment. :) Best wishes, Tammy

Oh Tanna, you have a beautiful family! I am with you girl on missing them, when they're gone. It's exhausting at times, but that's what naps are for. Family time is the best in all the world. I love the picture of your babies all lined up in bed. Reminds me of the Waltons. What great memories for your little ones.

How wonderful! Oh the memories! I'm sure at first the quiet was deafening. We do need rest breaks between the fun but you know those good times will come again. The grands are growing and all so gorgeous and happy!

I am happy that you were absent for a very good reason! I can imagine the happiness the exhaustion and the missing of the noise. When my kids are home I cannot wait for quiet and when they are gone I cannot wait for them to be here!!

Oh, I can so relate, after they are gone, you are so tired! But soon the aching starts for them again. It is a vicious cycle my friend. We are both blessed beyond measure with our family!

So glad you were off doing fun things with family. (I was getting a bit worried actually.) We just had a family reunion in CA, and you are so right, very fun and very exhausting! All that energy in those littel bodies!

One of the greatest joys in life- maybe thee. Our grandchildren! We get ours in waves just as you do, we go full steam for as long as they are here and come to a crashing halt! It's good some of them live around us or we'd be very exhausted.
Have a lovely weekend,
Jemma
