Hardwood Magic... Vintage Apartment

So, this is how they turned out... you may remember the BEFORE we started with in this little vintage apartment.  I apologize for the darkness... it is GRAY and gloomy here folks!!

After sanding and staining... There is NO FLOORING as beautiful as an original hardwood, in my book.

Oh, if these floors could talk.  ;)

We finished up the final details on this one yesterday... And, hope she gets the perfect tenant soon.

Original vintage tile flooring, tub and pedestal sink...

We did cave to the requests of the downstairs tenant and carpet the bedroom of this unit for quietness (should have vacuumed before this photo. we trampled it pretty good hanging new blinds).

We used Sherwin Williams Agreeable Gray throughout and white for all the woodwork.  Still has the original sink and cabinets... The range will be replaced this week and that ceiling fan/fixture really needs to be swapped out.... probably next time.  Sometimes, you have to space out the improvements... there is a bottom to the budget!!  ;)

Now, back to taxes!!!  Arrggghhhh....

I could easily call that vintage apartment home. Who wouldn't like "agreeable gray" on their walls?

Best,

Cute place! I am certain that some kind person will be happy to have that little place to call home :)

I do love hardwood floors!!
I just polished up my hardwood floors in my kitchen, this past week. Sure puts a smile on my face to see that floor gleaming!

Tanna, just sent the link to your post to the hubby. We are looking for ideas to remodel his mother's side of our farm house. Love that kitchen and my husband is a Sherwin Williams devotee. He spent $10k painting the exterior of our 2 story home 3 yrs ago using their top grade exterior paint (IDK the name) that they guarantee for as long as you live in the house.

The floor is amazing. We had Oak floors in our first house and I loved them. We refinished them and always ALWAYS had compliments when anyone would come over.

Would you have shown this before your most recent tenants moved in? It looks familiar to me, or maybe all those Old Girls are similar looking. Anyway, I love how you keep them vintage. The floors are so beautiful.

What an adorable apt. The floors came out so nice. I had renters for 21 yrs in a house, certainly is an experience, isn't it? Here's hoping you get the nicest of renters.

It's lovely. The first home I bought with my ex-husband was a small 950 square foot home in Georgia. We pulled up carpet and redid hardwood floors. Love them so much. Hugs, Tammy

Lucky new tenant to be able to live in this charmer. The floors are fabulous!

Taxes, not so fabulous, are they? I finally got our corp tax info all together and handed them over to our accountant. So good to have that checked off my list now. Hope you finish yours soon!
