Birthday Fun and Entrechat

We had two birthdays to celebrate this week. Gracie turned 15 and Miss Karsyn turned 7. And, Alex lost his first front tooth. Too quickly... time flies.

Karsyn is so fun. She gets the most excited of any of our grandchildren (maybe anyone I've ever seen) over a gift... and is always so appreciative.

I would highly recommend this little pattern:  Entrechat by Lisa Chemery.  Done here in Noro Taiyo colorway #60.

Not a seam one. And, a really pretty bit of stitching, too...

Karsyn had requested a black, short sweater a few months ago... and I knit it in black per her request... the first time. Then, could not resist a bright spring one when our LYS got in a new Noro colorway.  ;)

The black does show the stitch design a bit better... and it WAS her favorite. But, I SURE enjoyed the bright Noro.  hee hee ;)

THE SUN IS SHINING!! I'm off to enjoy it!!  Hope you are, too!

I'd get excited over that beautiful garment too! She is a cutie! What I'm not excited over is the mini blizzard occurring outside my window this morning!!

Best,

I love it in both colors..
I like a child who shows her joy:)
I like an adult who shows her joy also.
Noah lost his first tooth this week also..so has been smiling to make it evident..and it is a bottom one so you can imagine the protrusion.
Pretty pretty girl w/ a pretty pretty name.

That is a cute pattern and wonderful detail. I'm sure she preferred the black because she loves detail, right? The spring one is just eye-catching! Our grands do remind us how quickly time is flying as they milestone (one of those noun-verbs) so quickly.

What a darling sweater!! Now I have to control myself so that I don't pick up the needles before my basket is done. So much to do and now I am thinking of all the time I waste having to go to sleep at night. tee hee

Tanna, you're very talented. Both sweaters are gorgeous, but I have to say....not half as gorgeous as Karsyn. Hope you enjoyed your sunshine. We had rain today.

Oh Tanna ~ those sweaters are darling. But what stopped me cold in my tracks was the adorable braiding of your little sweetie. Did you do that?

Golly, does that Karsyn look like you!

Your granddaughter is absolutely beautiful! I love the pattern too. Miss A will be 7 soon and although she is not a girly girl, I think she might actually like this sweater to wear to church. I think it will be my next project!

Aww she is adorable! Love what you made her. So very pretty. It's always nice to make something for a loved one and then know they appreciate all the hard work and love you put into it. I bet she becomes a knitter/crocheter when she gets older!
Blessings always sweet friend.

Isn't Karsyn a beautiful little girl! I see you in her around the eyes maybe...something. I LOVE the sweater in both colors. How can you not love something in Noro (except when you're knitting or crochet with it - ha!). It's totally worth the aggravation. Beautiful job of knitting on both of them. I so enjoy seeing your beautiful knitting.

Ohhhh she's so beautiful-- I love her pretty smile! That's the absolute cutest little sweater-- Noro was the perfect choice for this pattern. The black shows off the pretty stitches so we'll also. Your babes are so lucky to have you make such lovely things for them:)
