Crazy Hair -- Crazy Times

Roo Bear wanted me to make "Crazy Hair" for him... He added the face.  This is just how I FEEL ON THE INSIDE!  Crazy!  ;)

In the midst of the last phase of the remodeling, I made a trip to Virginia to enjoy Halloween with the Little Men & Co. because I had made a promise to this one, my Alex.  Yep, I believe keeping promises is important...  Even when the timing is inconvenient.  And, you have to have the carpenter un-do part of what was done while you were busy keeping that promise.  Yep, very important.

Is that not the cutest Triceratops you have ever seen????  I was so lucky to be there for the Halloween Parade at the boys' school.  CUTE!  I tell you!  LOTS of cute little pranksters!

It was a cold, rainy Halloween night in Virginia... but, the rain did not dampen our fun!!

It is hard to say good-bye to these two...  They always make their Noni feel so very loved.  But, the crazy life was calling...

The last of the remodel crew finished up this past week.  Hallelujah!  I painted a bit more yesterday and have another little paint project in the queue... Sheetrock dust continues to pop up after multiple cleanings... Seems it always takes awhile to get it all out.  But, I'm happy with the progress.  We still need a couple of light fixtures... however, it is time to finally get all settled.  I will be happy when all the boxes are unpacked... all the rooms furnished... things on the wall... rugs on the floors... AND I CAN KNIT AND BLOG IN PEACE!  LOL!

So much time had passed since my last post and there is so much left to do... I had been considering just staying out of Blogland... Then, out of the blue today, I ran into Shug, who I only know through her blog.  It was SO GOOD to see her... and I felt the tug of all the friendships I have enjoyed... and missed... and, well, here I am.  I may be sporadic for a bit longer, but I know I will eventually be back in a more regular way.  Shug, thank you!!!

I wouldn't have missed the Halloween parade either. They grow up too fast! I feel the same way with boxes. However I am currently renting and not really doing much to my rental decor wise. So I was thinking about taking a long break again but not sure. Just can't wait to find our final home at the end of summer 2015. Time will sure fly by quickly........have a lovely week and thanks for stopping by my blog

Oh my, don't stop! I am just getting to know you.

I love your little grands . . . I would have taken off for Virginia too. A promise is a promise. The first photo made me remember back to my daughters boys and the enormous bubbles they created in the tub one night. They loved the Santa beards/faces they could make . . . Ah, the memories . . .

I hope that you don't stop blogging, but I do understand the need to take a break from time to time when life gets the better of things or is just so very busy. Take your time, it will be lovely to see you as and when, rather than not at all! I hope that the rest of the decorating goes well and that you are enjoying your knitting times again. xx

I've rung many doorbells on cold and wet Halloweens in the same city as those darling little "monsters" of your's!! I'm sure everyone was happy for the visit. Well, maybe not your carpenter!! I'm wanting to know where you were in the last photo. It looks like a place I need to visit.

Best,
Bonnie

Any trip that involves grandchildren is nothing but pure joy! glad you had this special time with them. It was wonderful, finally getting to meet you yesterday. My daughter could not believe that we had never met before. She said: "Mom...it was if you both knew each other so well." This is what I love about blogging....getting to know so many AWESOME friends! Enjoyed your husband as well...he is such a hoot. Can't wait to get together for lunch sometime! Please reconsider and stay in blogland... Your words are always so uplifting! Enjoy your day..my friend.

I am glad you ran into Shug, because you see you would be missed so, so much. You are under a huge amount of stress right now, this move has been hard on you from the time you made the decision to go until now. Hang in there and know we are all here for you.

The boys are getting so big! Adorable pictures of them in their Halloween costumes.

Oh I hope you never stop blogging...the world just would not be the same. :) I take breaks often, too. The blog is for you...so you blog when you want to. :)

((hugs)) to you sweet friend.

I'm glad you were with your grands, and had a "grand" time (snicker). Blogs are here when you want to do them, so be casual and blog when you want and can. I hope you show the finished remodel!

Hello sweet friend,
Nice to see a post from you. I need to go and visit your blog friend that inspired you to post again... I've not been to that blog :)

It looks like you had a wonderful time with your sweet Grands. I am so glad!

Thinking of you, and your remodel projects... paint and dust and boxes to un-pack still. It sounds like you will be all ready for the holidays, however :)

Hope that this week is filled with happiness and blessing .

I'm so jealous that you met SHUG... She's one of my very favorite blog friends...

Glad you got to go to Roanoke to be with those little men in your life... Such Cutie Pies...

We had a very cold/wet/windy/snowy Halloween night here. I felt sorry for the children in the Crossville area... AND--we are still cold and wet here. Winter HAS come WAY too early.

Hugs,
Betsy

It's fun to see what others picked up on in this post and wrote about it.
Definitely, for me, it's those cute kiddos! The picture of them giving you hugs, wow! That tugged at me heart. A sandwich-hug is the best!

I also understand not wanting to blog anymore (that's why I'm taking a break) But missing all my "friends" would be hard. Some have left and I miss them so much! That sounds so funny but I really do! They don't know it because they are GONE.
I would miss you if you quit. Can you hear the plea in my words and my heart?
Take a break and come back refreshed, my friend.

The kiddos are so cute and I love that first photo. I think Roo Bear's hair looks like mine in the mornings when I wake up sans the soap. haha!

I'm glad you are nearing the end of your remodeling! That must be such a huge relief. Can't wait to see what you've done!

Take care and know that we'll be here whenever you have time to post. I'm still on a bit of a blog break myself, but have to check in once and a while to see what my friends are up to.

All your blog posts are a blessing to me and I love our friendship even though we have never met. Love these photos and the great time you have with your family here in Virginia. Hope all is well with the final stages of the remodel and unpacking. Such a bunch of work! Have a blessed Thanksgiving sweet Tanna!

What great photos of a wonderful memory making time! I know you cherish those days and the memories. I'm glad your house stuff is about finished and you can really settle in and enjoy your new abode before the holidays arrive. Thanks for your kind comments--I'm so thankful to be doing well.

It is quite alright to be sporadic with blogging! You are doing other MAJOR things at the moment. I am not doing major things at the moment but I am not regular either! I have decided to live life to its fullest, do the best that I can and quit worrying how I measure up. Truly, none of us are superwomen!

Enjoy your family and finish your home. All of us will welcome you with open arms when you can blog to your hearts content. We all struggle with wanting to keep up with everything and there is just so much a person can do.

Blessings to you and yours. Happy Thanksgiving. Bonnie

We have not done that much remodeling in our Colorado home, but the few tasks we did took up much time, Tanna. I'm sure you will be very happy with all the end results and all this stress will all be forgotten.

Your little men are growing and are getting even more adorable! Halloween is a fun time to be with the grands.

Have a very Happy Thanksgiving!

Glad you were able to get away to see the little men. They sure are getting big and you don't want to miss out. I know you will be happy when all the work is done and you can sit back and enjoy your surroundings. I'm still a sporadic blogger, but definitely will not give up. :) Hugs and blessings, Tammy

A lovely post! I agree about the blog posting, sometimes I think I am just done, then I eventually find something else to share. You have such a nice blog though, I hope you continue! Happy Thanksgiving! :)

Debbie said...

I agree so much with what you said about the blogging "tug". To me, it's all about the people behind the blogging. It's a sharing thing that just grabs you.

I loved the crazy hair pic. I remember doing that as a kid, and I remember my girls doing that. I also loved the Halloween shots. So good to "see" you!

Your grandboys are just ADORABLE!

Looking forward to seeing you back blogging when all the dust has cleared.

P.S. The card is on it's way. LOL

Hope your Christmas season is merry and bright. :-)
