Obsessions, Trunk Shows and Noro Love...

My newest OBSESSION:  Fox Paws by Xandy Peters.  This is a trial swatch with some leftover yarn.
Great lace tip needles are a MUST.  I've gotten a new pair of Hiya Hiya Sharps to use with the DK weight yarn I will be attempting to use (the above is in a fingering weight of leftovers).  More to be revealed... I hope.

Rose Path, our amazing local yarn shop, had a wonderful trunk show of hand-dyed yarns, Theodora's Pearls by Jennifer Thompson Miller.  Don't you just love seeing all those beautiful colors!

Plus, there were all kinds of projects to touch and see!

Judi and Sherri are sporting some of their beautiful knits.  Sherri is responsible for getting me on the basket binge.  ;)

I enjoyed the immersion in color and design... and being surrounded by such creative sistas-of-the-yarn-love!

You can tell by that smile on my face I was enjoying myself!  And, I was enjoying this latest knit:  Espenson by Cirilia Rose.  Details on Ravelry here.  FUN piece to wear!  The Noro Taiyo is a perfect combination of cotton, silk and wool.  Soft and colorful.  Big, comfortable FUN.  EASY knit.

It has been a frenzy of preparation to start the LAST phase of this remodel.  We had a week delay on the inside, but they started on the outside last week!  Yea!  I am looking forward to the finish line one of these days!

Well, I hear workers pulling up outside... the rain has stopped.  So back to it!!

Blessings to all ~ tanna

Yes you do like color. I never cease to be amazed at what you come up with next. Such lovely work I can hardly imagine it could be made by hand. I'm glad you can see the finish line with the work on your house -- and heave a big sigh of relief that you are all settled in by holiday time.

I love that top you are wearing. Looks great paired with black. I know you are in your element when surrounded by yarn. :) Your hair is long. I just got a trim tonight, first since June -- the consensus from everyone around here was not to cut it short. Have a great week. Tammy

Great top with lush color that matches your pretty smile. Glad you were enjoying yourself with with your yarn friends. Nothing better than sharing common interests. Good to hear you are coming along with work on the house. It will be finished before you know it.

Oh my! I wish I could knit!!!!! I've made many attempts but I'm a klutz. It would be very hard to pick from those colors. They are all luscious! I especially love your "coat of many colors".

Best,
Bonnie

I figured you were busy with the remodel, but you even had time to knit a new sweater! Love it. Too funny, I just printed off that same Fox Paws pattern! What yarn are you going to use? I was thinking of using a multi and a plain, hoping there'd be fewer ends to sew in.

Seeing your smiling face in that Yarn Shop reminds me of my smiles when I'm sitting on top of a mountain with beauty all around me --and of course, a waterfall nearby!!!!! ha ha....

What gorgeous yarns and shawls... I can understand how excited you all were to be there and share with each other...

Good Luck with the remodeling.
