Happy Accident and Happy Moments

The last knitting project of 2013 was a Happy Accident (Details are here).  I'm tickled pink over how my Roo Vest turned out.

When my daughter and grandsons are in town for their annual December visit, I will not lie… I go through withdrawals from my LYS. However, we make NUMEROUS trips to Hobby Lobby for Christmas projects, etc. In my desperation, I fondled this yarn and LOVED the way it felt. I surmised it might enlarge the Baby Sophisticate enough to make Roo a larger version than his first.
Almost as soon as I started it, I recognized it was going to be MUCH larger than Roo could wear… and I had a secret hope it might be large enough for me. ;)

After they headed home, I picked it back up… did a little math and decided it would work perfectly… and, I decided to make it with cap-like sleeves, more like a vest (which I love to wear… way more than sweaters).  It was indeed a Happy Accident!

Just a few Christmas memories...

If one is good, two must be even better!!

I'll hold these precious moments in my heart until I can hold these sweet angels in my arms again...

I miss them...

Casting the whole of your care [all your anxieties, all your worries, all your concerns, once and for all] on Him, for He cares for you affectionately and cares about you watchfully.

What cute little sugar-dusted faces! I'm sure December was very special for all. We had one of the boys home for Christmas--and his lovely wife--but the other one had to remain in S.F.. Oh how I miss them all.

Best,
Bonnie

Your ROO vest is gorgeous and I especially love the button trim. Perfect. Yes, your little sweeties are gone again, but wasn't it the best of times? They will remember...they really will.

There is so much fun and love in that last photo. I love that the vest became yours, I swear sometimes yarn has its own mind and knows what it wants to become more than we do.
Hugs,
Meredith

Tanna I WANT to make that vest. It is beautiful.
Thank you for sharing the prayer… Al's flight connection in Atlanta was missed. She rented a car and is driving home 8 hours…IM not thrilled. I can only pray she gets home safe……

Tanna, being such an expect knitter...You know how to CAST your cares on the Lord.

The vest is adorable and so you. Your grandchildren could win any contest for cuteness.

Such a darling picture of you and them.

Sending Hugs

Dear Tanna, A very happy accident indeed. I like the vest too. It is not bulky under a jacket and not too hot indoors for wearing.
What happy and beautiful pictures. Thank you for sharing. You look like you are beaming with happiness with your grandchildren. I am very happy for you.
I give all of my worries and fears to Him each day and know that He will provide and care.
It is so good to see you back. I missed you and prayed.
Blessings dear. Catherine xo

I miss you. I have completely given up blogging…no real choice, but it is a reality. Homebuilding is too slow to write about. And very frustrating.
I am having a wonderful season of growing closer to God, so that is good.
I love hearing about your life and seeing your joys and your beautiful things.
Happiest of new years to you, Miss Tanna.

They are growing so fast. Beautiful children and wonderful photos.

We are so Blessed to have all six of our grandchildren live so close. One set of three lives about a mile and a half to the North of us. The other three will soon move into their new home...about 4 miles West of us.

Your work is absolutely amazing!! I really do like this one...

It's cold outside...stay warm!

Happy New Year Tanna! Love your beautiful vest and the pink buttons are perfect - as are your gorgeous grandchildren. I KNOW you loved your long visit. Was thinking about you when I opened a gift from my brother in Atlanta - a box of fixins from the Loveless Cafe :) He was in Franklin on business and picked up some gifts for us all. Can't wait to make the biscuits! Have a great week :)

I can picture you in it! Really, I can. It's very "you". I personally love your style.

And yes, you have some of the cutest grandchildren on the planet. Just thought I would throw that in for good measure.

(BTW, I really do mean that and am not just being polite. They are all three really gorgeous kids.)
