Valentine's Delight

Valentine's Delight:  Receiving this in the mail from our LM & Co.

Valentine's Delight:  Being the lucky recipient of one of Laura's beautiful hooked pieces.

I enjoy another of her works, Farm Garden, every day.

Projects have been flying off the needles and hooks around here!

I had fun with my first crochet flower!  And, there have been a couple of other that took flight before I thought to get a photo.

But, finishing this last Sunday afternoon was just grand.  I always enjoy the sense of accomplishment that comes with completing a big project.  There is a nice boost of energy that propels you through some other projects!

Wishing you all a very Happy Valentine's Day!!  blessings ~ tanna

The new works look very nice as table art. Crochet is fun when you want something to go really fast. Unless it's a lace shawl. I would love to see a bird with those great colors. Have a great day!

That feather shawl....my favorite thing you have ever done and that's saying something!
The rug hooking? That is something I would like to learn to do...ah, someday.
Love our love bugs! Hugs and prayers! Donna

Oh my lord, that turned out so beautiful! Wowee! It's just great. I love the colors in it. It's a very interesting piece. Don't you want to just hang it on the wall so you can stare at it all the time?

That's a nice hooked piece too. Is it a rug? Hard to tell how big it is from the picture. It could be a small coaster, I suppose. Whatever it is, it's nice. Lucky you.

Nice headband and flower too. You are just full of pretty things to show! I'm working on a blanket that is taking all my time. I really love it though! I love making afghans, but it takes a reeeeeally looooong time! So satisfying when it's done. Enjoy your weekend.

Dear Tanna, Thank you for stopping by. I am borrowing a computer and am so happy to be saying, "hello" and "Happy Valentine's Day" to you. This has been a very "topsy turvy" time in my kids and my life. It has been heart-wrenching to watch everyone. It does make you stronger, closer and maybe even more protective of each other. It is such a sensitive time. One must have a sense of humor and a sense of compassion but it is hard not to tear up often. Thank you for being there. I miss you and the lovely people I have made friendships with and am very grateful you are still there to talk to . Thank you and Bless you. xo Catherine xoxo

You received some sweet little surprises, didn't you! Good for you, sweet lady.
I love the ear warmer, I made a few of those for Christmas out of fleece, they aren't quite warm enough for our climate, though.
I love your finished piece with the feathers, it's stunning!!!

Your shawl turned out great, Tanna! I'l bet your DD changed her mind when she saw it. Did you make the headband/ear warmer? The reason I'm curious as I wondered what yarn you used? I've made it, too; it's a fun pattern.

that shawl leaves me totally speechless---WOW. (does your daughter now love it to pieces????)

and you are most definitely a crocheter now, too--i think my daughter would love those earwarmers. HMMMMMM. (Christmas gift???)

As much as you love "the peacock" now, I bet you are really going to love it come fall. Those rich colors are going to bring warmth to even the chilliest of days. =)

Speaking of fall, I wish you and Laura could come go to the Farm Days up here in October to see some of the rug hooking pieces the ladies sell. Last year they were absolutely gorgeous! You both would have loved them.

Counting down the days... xoxo

Aw, what sweet pieces! I'm totally late with Valentine stuff this year; glad you're up-to-date.
Have a great week!

Gorgeous pieces here....talent, talent talent!!!
I love the hooking piece. I still am looking to take a rug hooking class.
You gave me the name of a lady in Lindale that teaches this, and just as I was getting ready to call...I had to have carpal tunnel surgery. Is there any chance you still have her name? Would love to do this now.
Hope your week is full of fun!

You finished the dreambird! It looks so wonderful and eye catching.

I also loved the little blue dress for your granddaughter in a previous post. I have Nona dreams too. (Only, in my head, they call me Mimi.)

What a blessed grandma you are to those little men! And the crocheted flowers are delightful. As is the colorful hooked piece.
