Dreambird

In my dreams, I soar above the clouds...

Riding the wind with ease... and grace... and freedom...

In real life, I enjoy my dreams in this creation.... The feathers are almost magical as you wrap them around your shoulders...

Pattern:  Dreambird by Nadita
Yarns:  Rowan Kidsilk Haze and Noro Silk Garden Sock
Needles:  US 5

A special thanks to my daughter who indulged my photo obsession with this shawl and made it look its best.

It will be a couple of more days until things are back to normal around here.  My Little Men & Co. just touched down in their hometown.  And, I will be enjoying my Little Lady the rest of the week.  Until then, may you soar in your dreams...

Oh it is beautiful! Magazine worthy I say. I was telling my family the other day about my blog friend and how talented you are and and how you could knit anything in just a few days...of course...they had no idea what I was talking about...lol

I remember that your daughter originally didn't like all the browns you chose. Did she change her mind after seeing the masterpiece all finished? I hope so because that particular pattern and color actually looks just beautiful on her.

I hope you have had the time of your life with the little men (and their mom).

So beautiful! Your daughter was a great model, although I'd throw a fit if you took a picture of my ass and showed it to the world. Ha-ha. Of course, mine doesn't look good like hers does. Your shawl is just lovely. Fantastic job.

Oh Tanna! This is my absolute favorite thing you've done! You are an artist with your yarns! That is beautiful and one of a kind! Your daughter should be in a magazine - at first glance, I thought it was an advertisement. She looks so pretty and your shawl just completed her look. It's gorgeous.

I know you've had some good visiting there! Keep it up! Hugs~~~

Well that Dreambird is, shall we say...dreamy? I hope you wear it over and over and over again. It truly is one of the most stunning masterpieces you've made. ;-) Love you (even if you did put a big ol' picture of my rear end out there for all to see! LOL!) xoxo here's hoping you have a fun rest of the week with another tiny little dreambird. Until next time...

How beautiful! My aunt is an avid knitter (she manages a knitting store in the Village in Houston) and I can't wait to send your post her way. Thank you for sharing! I'm so glad I stumbled on your blog. SO many great things here!

I thought that was your daughter, but sure when I saw the little guy. She just brought that whole shawl to life - it was gorgeous and so is she. Oh yeah - you too and little one.

What a beautiful shawl! It looks so pretty on your daughter. I am visiting your blog for the first time, coming via a link at Buttermilk Cottage. I like to knit too. I enjoyed your experience with watercolor and think you are very brave. I tried watercolor and hated it; oil is much more forgiving and fun.
