Christine, Coffee and Color

What does this coffee pot and this colorful present have in common?  Why coffee, of course!  Christine at ~~Vista Woman~~ did a fabulous tour of all the wonderful coffee shops within walking distance of her home... then she had a give-away!!  I am thrilled to have been the lucky winner.

Coffee is not just a treat in our home... it is a necessity!!  Neither Pop Pop nor I are worth a hoot without our morning caffeine.  He has brought me coffee in bed every morning we've been in the same place for eleven years; and, that is still one of my most treasured things about him.

Christine and her husband, Tom, enjoy a good cup of Joe, too; they also take wonderful excursions around their area seizing the best life has to offer.  Christine and I share a love of our Lord, our children and our grandchildren.  She lives in a lovely little cottage and has inspired me with her downsizing and de-baggage-ing.  Daily, she positively impacts the lives of the young people who attend the school where she works.  I've been reading her blog for a few years and look forward to many more.

I'm not sure why I can't write below this last photo... but, this in a sneak peak at my current knitting project.  I am lovin' the colors and design!!  Hope you are all having a wonderful week.

blessings ~ Tanna

I am not a coffee drinker but can appreciate your 'need'. I used to prefer my caffeine cold - Coke from McDonald's on the way to work.
How sweet is it that your husband treats you like a queen! That is some good love.
I am going to check out Christine's blog. She sounds like some one I would like, too.
Enjoy your new treasures!

What a lovely treat. I think I want to live in Christine's neighborhood! Andrew and I get started with good coffee every morning. He makes the pot but I haven't been treated to a cup in bed. To be honest, I'm not going to even mention it since he's been so busy caring for me. Maybe I will after he has had time to rest up a bit!!

Best,
Bonnie

What a lovely prize. And your new knitting is once again, over the top. Coffee in bed for 11 years!!! WOW. I guess I should be the last one up in the morning. I do get served after the Trout is up and I am already at the computer for an hour or so. Hugs to you.

Coffee in bed! How much better can it get! Rick would love it if I served HIM in bed! Love the geometrics in the quilt! You always have an interesting thing on the needles. XO

What a great prize...and a great idea to review the coffee shops in our own areas...hmmm, that's got me thinking now. I was like you for years (I didn't get out of bed without my cup of coffee) but when my English husband moved to Canada, I started drinking tea in the morning and find I actually prefer it now. I still like to have a cup of coffee when I go out in for my morning walk.

I love the colors of your knitting and I'm intrigued to see what it will be. You're an amazingly fast knitter!

Tanna, I have been away from blogging since Easter until this week. I was sorry to read about your trials with the melanoma and surgery. Glad the margins were good. I love your green shawl. It is stunning on you. I have missed your sweet spirit but had to take a blogging break. I am sorry I didn't know about your troubles to pray for you then but glad things are better.

I'd say that I can't believe you won another prize in blogland, but I can! LOL! You are so lucky that way. And it is absolutely the most perfect prize for you - from one coffee lover to another!

I love the idea of doing a coffee shop tour. I think I'd like to do a dessert shop tour... Hmmm...

Love that you wrote about how you love and appreciate that Pop Pop brings you coffee in bed each morning. At our marriage study life group last night, we went around and said one thing we were grateful for with our spouse. One woman said the exact same thing. =)

I snagged your blog from Run-a-round Ranch. I just love your home. I was living in California in a historic neighborhood once with all of those bungalow homes. I spent hours and hours going through open houses and estate sales just to see the homes. I'd kill for a porch in my life.

I love my coffee too. I'm partial to French Vanilla and when it's brewing, the house smells like heaven. Re your newest project...it's not a Hanne Faukenberg (sp?) is it?
Best,
Susan
