I am celebrating being all caught up with my Quick Books after being gone so long!! Woo hoo! I am celebrating surviving the Pond Tour last Saturday after being gone so long (hubby's idea). We had a steady stream of nice visitors. AND, I am celebrating catching up on most of the chores that had not done themselves in my absence! Yea!
Can you spot the two visitors I had this morning?
Mr. Lizard was showing out right beneath our favorite, The Red Dragonfly.
These beauties come back every year and we enjoy them so much! They dive in and out of the water, especially out of the Zeus fountain, like it is a Six Flags ride. Entertains us for hours... LOL. Yep, we are simple that way.
This close-up is one I captured in the same week of last year. Are they not amazing? I've been hearing Earl (or his kin), but no sightings this year. That might have been a once-in-a-lifetime sight/shot!
And, I have to share this photo (stolen from Hubby, made/sent by Little Men's Momma) of two of my favorite men in the whole world. Love you two!!
I'm feeling some breathing room now! Hope you are all celebrating something that is checked off your list today!!
Blessings ~ tanna

what pretty visitors - but i do like 'earl' :) and what a sweet photo. just adorable.
Your photos are great....
It does feel so good to shorten the list! (and then I seem to add to it) Neverending!!
Your greenery is so beautiful and lush!! And that lizard is too cute! What a fun visitor :)
You always that such beautiful photos. The red dragonfly is wonderful.
Smiles, Dottie
I would sit by your pond for hours to watch those dragon flies! LOVELY!
The photos of gramps and little man is absolutely PRECIOUS!
Tanna, great shots of that dragonfly. I don't think we get any red ones here. Plenty of blue ones though. Cute picture of your guys.
Dear Tanna, You deserve to celebrate!! Being caught up is an achievement!! Must feel good. I love the picture. Looks like it could go on the cover of Life Mag. (I know I am dating myself!) Blessings, Catherine xo
Welcome back and thanks for sharing such precious photos.
Such a great photo and sentiment there at the end (so many of these blog husbands have beards, eh, what's with that?) I hope your house repairs are going well. Would love to have visited your pond! Have a great week!
Glad you can breathe! I actually made a list a few weeks ago when I started my summer vacation. I'm checking things off slow but sure. Today I painted my porch railing and let me tell you it was NOT fun! The pic of your guys is incredible. Both are pretty cute!
It sounds like you were really busy beyond doing ceiling repair!
My husband is the keeper of the Quick Books in our house..lol I love the photo of your grandson and your hubby so much. It captures a wonderful moment!
I love the red dragonfly photo .. I don't see them in that color very often up here.
I accomplished two biggies off my list today..many more to go!
Hi Tanna, great capture of the red dragonfly! We don't have them in that color, at least that I know of. Pretty! And, love the cute photo of G'pa and his little man. Have a great week!
Tanna, I'm celebrating today, as I have needed six month mammograms since my cancer journey in 2009. Today the mammogram was excellent, cancer free, and can now go back to my routine annual mammograms.
God is so Good.
I just loved all your camera work, and close ups, and that picture of your two favorite men, is to die for.
Great photo of two great guys! :) Your garden area is lovely. My 12 year old freaks at any kinda buy and he especially hates when it is dragonfly season around here. I haven't seen the red ones before. Wonder what the lifespan of a frog is? Love the photo of Earl on his tippy toes in the water. Jingles had a field day a few weeks ago with a gecko she found hiding out in our bedroom. Yikes! I rescued him from her grasps, albeit without a tail, put him outside and he must have gone on his merry way after he rested up a bit. I am in the midst of packing -- we head out tomorrow for a 10-day trip to Nepal, so once I get everything ready to go, I will be a happy camper. Taking a quick blog/lunch break and then back to work. Have a terrific day. Best wishes, Tammy
What a sweet sweet picture of your two men!
Love the pictures of the lizard and the red dragon fly (?).
Glad you are home and caught up.
Hi Tanna,
Beautiful pictures...Love the one of the dragonfly. And how sweet is the last one...Just adorable. I always like looking are your pics. Hope the celebration last all week long :-) Have a wonderful day.
Hugs and Blessings,

Sometimes the best things in life are in your own backyard--or, in Virginia = )! Love the photos.
Best,
Bonnie
I can always count on finding beauty here. Your visitors are stunning. Of course the artist wouldn't have just your normal slugs and newts. It must be vibrant and intricate in it's details... Do you screen them before they're allowed in? :)
And then there are the two lovely 'men'! Sheesh, it's almost too much...
Blessings, Debbie
Beautiful photos! I so love dragonflies. Can I borrow that pic? Just would love to have it on my screen saver.
hugs,
tara
Love your beautiful porch and the visitors. We have bright neon blue dragonflies here. I am following (we Texans have to stick together!!) plus I am loving your blog.
Oh my hubby would love everyone coming and going..he would know everyone's story...I would love the pond!
Benjamin (age 5) and I loved these pictures. I had him look at the first one to see what he could find before I went to the blow up pictures...he started laughing and giggling in wonder! They are wonderful.
Now my dream backyard would have a pond also...for now I am going to put my plastic little thing back into the ground, put in some goldfish and a little fountain....then enjoy the sound.
Thanks for sharing!!
Celebrating the fact that I just finished writing all of my thank you notes! Now I'm off to rest my hand for a while!
I love that the red dragonfly has returned. Such a beautiful creature. I can't wait to see if you have an Earl sighting. Keep that camera on hand...
Love you!
PS - working on getting Pop Pop his 8x10!
Your pics are lovely. Isn't it true that we need a vacation from or after a vacation? I did check something off my list yesterday--got one bathroom completely packed; well, I did leave t.p. and a towel! I just saw that you are now following my blog, thank you so much. Can't wait till I'm a fully-functioning blogger again!

Oh I love all of your fun visitors! Wish I had a nice little pond like yours! What a blessing.
What wonderful photos! The shot of your husband with you grandson is really one for the memory books. I'm glad the tour went well. I guess there is some truth to the old saw "That which doesn't kill us, makes us stronger". Have a wonderful day. Blessings...Mary
Dragonflys are a sign that your yard is ecologically balanced. Great feeling don't you think?
good phrase - "things that did not get themselves done in my absence.
:) But I will be glad to do them when I get home from this visit to grandchildren because I am grateful for the chance to visit them.
Blessings to you - Marsha
