Striped Cardigan, Cocoa O'Hare and Precious E-Mail

I hope you will indulge me again; I received another sweet Easter e-mail from Little Man (with the help of his Momma, my baby):

Dear Noni,

Momma pulled out the sweater you made for me last Easter. It's now a perfect fit! She told me that she wanted to take some pictures, and I insisted that we bring Cocoa O'Hare along, too. Hope you enjoy.

Can't wait to see you!

Love,

Little Man

The sweater is the Striped Cardigan in Sirdar's baby bamboo knits (323 Code B).  As evident, it was a little big last year.  I used the bamboo yarn recommended in the book.  It is incredibly soft.  I love that he is getting two years wear out of it.  ;)  And, I cannot wait to get some of those sweet little sugars (though I hear he has gotten quite stingy with those).

The bunny is a pattern by Susan B. Anderson from her Itty Bitty Toys book.  It is done in  a Brown Sheep cotton/wool blend.

If you want to see it from beginnings... to ready... to on Little Man, just click on the links.  Oh, my goodness, I can't believe how much he has grown and changed since last Easter.  Time is slipping away.

I am linking this to Kim's Wow Us Wednesdays!!

My heart is humbled as I remember the cause for this holiday celebration.

He is risen...

Dear Tanna, I love reading your posts. I feel like I am reading notes from an good friend. I don't blame you for missing that "little guy" he is precious. I am so glad that little man got two seasons out of that sweater. It is beautiful and made with love. It would be a shame to have only one year of wear. You are very talented.

Blessings,

Catherine

I just had to click on the link that took me back to last Easter. Can you believe how much he's grown?!

I am so excited that the sweater fits him again this year! Admittedly, I was a bit sad when I thought he wasn't going to have anything smocked or handmade to wear for Easter, and after trying the sweater on and having a perfect fit, well, I'm on cloud 9! Hopefully we'll have weather conducive to sweater-wearing (or at least sweater-wearing while picture taking - ha!). Love you! XOXOXOXO

Tanna, how adorable. I must ask a question, his your litte man's hair a deep rich auburn red. If so, It's the color I was born with, now streaked with lots of gray. And our youngest daughter also got the red hair. It's so beautiful.

Wanda, his hair is more brown it appears in these photos, but it does have a reddish cast. My sister's hair is a deep, rich auburn red... I have always been jealous of that! Both my grandmothers had red hair, too. You redheads are lucky!

Sigh! That top photo especially ... captures the kind of relaxed zone he is in with that comfy sweater, Cocoa O'Hare, and the thumb. How precious! Love that your daughter thought to take a photo for you!

Good choice for the sweater; it's so classic looking. He sure does enjoy that little rabbit. So he's gettin stingy with his kisses, is he? LOL!

Tanna, he is just getting so handsome. Love the sweater you made. We are just going to have to get little man and my Rachele together in the future. So funny that their hair is the same color.
