Waistcoat Pattern by Sirdar

Finished this project up yesterday!  The yarn, Inca by Katia, is so very soft.  It is 53% wool and 47% acrylic.  (Please don't comment about the crepe-y, turkey neck... yes, I have some miles on me.  Should have cropped that business out of there, but I'm not going back to attempt that.  LOL)

The pattern is quick and easy, a waistcoat by Sirdar (#9320).  It is supposed to have one large button, but I decided that I liked it better belted.  It gave more shape to the back.

And, I think I am going to have fun wearing it!!  Hope you are all having a wonderful weekend.  Now, I have to stop my playing and get back to the chores!

** Adding a note:
  • The necklace was an $18 find at Canton Trade Days!  I have never been a jewelry person, but I love this gaudy thing.  Go figure!!  Life change?  Who knows?  Menopausal mania?  Don't care.  Love it!  Love the $18!
  • The belt, I've had so long I have no idea where I found it.  I'll be very, very sad when it finally wears out because I wear it with LOTS!

Beautiful sweater--wonderful colors! I, too, like the necklace and belt which nicely complement one another. I wish I could knit!! First thing I'd make myself is one of those adorable hats that Little Man had on recently. It's COLD in this part of the country!

Best,
Bonnie

Wow! This is great - you look wonderful in this beautiful sweater, too! Such a good job - turquoise looks good with it, too, heck any color would look great! It looks very southwestern!

I don't wanna hear about the turkey neck either (gobble, gobble) cuz I've got one, too!

The necklace was an $18 purchase at the Canton Trade Days!! Fun! The belt, well I've had that thing so long I have no idea where I found it. I do know that if it ever wears in two, I will be very, very sad. Thank you all. You are the kindest friends.

That yarn was beautiful in its ball, but knit into that pattern - man! It is gorgeous! And I love how happy those colors are, especially with that blue shirt underneath. I like the call on the belt over the button. Very sassy. Oh, and I just knew that was your Canton necklace! =) Very cute!

Oh wow --this is so lovely! I love a wool blend as it is warm and durable. When I was in Denver last week this would have been perfect to wear as it was not that cold. The necklace and belt are also very pretty!

Beautiful Tanna...that wool is lovely especially with that blue shirt underneath. I love the flow of it when it's belted and I LOVE the necklace too. For me it's taken the confidence of my "mature years" to carry off big and bold jewelry with any success.
