Each Day...

I told myself I wouldn't let more than a week pass before sitting down to do a post.  Life seems to throw the best laid plans to the wind sometimes.  We've enjoyed GOOD times and BAD times and a lot of just in between GRIND times over the last two weeks.

Our Karsyn turned 9!  Too fast.  Way too fast.  She is most precious to us.

The boys and their momma visited for spring break.  Sooooo good to spend a few sweet days with them.  We stayed B.U.S.Y!

We've been blessed with magnificent beauty all around.... ALONG with LOTS of pollen!  ;)

On sadder notes, I spent time in waiting rooms with dear friends.  The C-word sends the world crashing down around those involved.  If you believe and are inclined, please pray for our friend, Johnny, and his wife as she supports him.

I've also spent time with my Beloved in waiting rooms and outpatient procedure rooms as he has suffered from severe back pain.  I am thankful that the last treatment has given him some relief.   It is so hard to watch someone you love suffer and not be able to relieve them.

I caught this cute little visitor (right in the middle) sitting in my Swiss Chard.  He was a very bright spot in my week!

Then there has been TAX time work.  I just hate it.

And, as I type the whole heating and cooling system in our house is being replaced.  Better to find out now than in the midst of Texas summertime.  But, I'm ready for a nice, slow, lazy, quiet week... with no pain or bad news for anyone I love.  Or people I don't, like the folks in London.  Tragic.  Prayers for all.

Each day... it is a gift.

WOW...your azaleas are beautiful!! 2017 has not been that kind to you as of yet. I'm sure you're just getting the bad stuff out of the way early and will have a peaceful rest of the year. That's my hope for you at least! You always look so pretty and young in your pictures. I wish I was as photogenic as you are. Prayers going out for your friend. ♥

Loved seeing the grands, family, happy, celebrating . . .
Flowers, blooming all around sure brings some cheer . . .
Sad though to hear you have friends and family waiting, wondering, searching for answers
and your hubby experiencing back pain . . . hoping for more relief . . .
Happy for you having family together . . .
Makes for some really "feel good" times . . .
Love seeing the outdoor color . . . I am waiting for some color here.
Sunshine helped today!

Great family photo! Spring is looking very pretty in your neck of the woods. We had such a warm February that things started blooming early and then, along came several days of freezing weather. Our blooms suffered. Prayers for Johnny and for your beloved. Hope you have a good weekend!

Great to see your post, Tanna. "Carpe Diem" is the word, isn't it? Every moment is precious, that's for sure. Sorry to hear about your heating/cooling issues. We came home from Florida to a water heater flood; the joys of house ownership, eh? Hope your DH's back continues to improve and that your friend will find the right treatment. Sending both of them lots of good thoughts. Hugs to all of you. Love your great photos, especially the one of your green and almost invisible visitor!

So glad you had some lovely family time mixed in with all the concerning moments. The c-word is never one wants to hear but all so common these days. Sending blessings of healing for Johnny, strength for his family, and of course, relief for your husband. Back pain can be so debilitating. Because of my scoliosis, I've dealt with problems as long as I can remember, but am very careful now about what I do, how I twist and turn. Your swiss chard looks humongous with that teeny tiny little lizard in there. So sweet! Hope you have a relaxing weekend. Hugs, Tammy

Tanna, Oh, how the kids have grown! Glad you had some time with them. Happy Birthday to Karsyn. The years do pass quickly.
I hope your husband gets some relief for his back. I am also sorry for your friend, Johnny and his wife. I will pray for them.
Your angel statuary looks beautiful in front of your white azaleas. So lovely.
Wishing you a blessed week.

The azaleas are beautiful! Ours looked like that until the freeze last week. Now they are gone. The grands grow so fast, don't they? The boys are so big! I know you grab every moment you can with them and savor it. So sorry for your friends and your hubby. Mine is having extensive back surgery in a couple of days. Our life will be a lot slower after that, in some ways. Thankful your husband's treatment helped.

One of my most favorite Bible verse, I'd like to share with you;
"Consider it pure joy, my brothers and sisters, whenever you face trials of many kinds, because you know that the testing of your faith produces perseverance." ~James 1:23~

Here's to a great week of joy!

Hi Tanna...
Oh my....aren't your grandchildren beautiful! Aren't they such a blessing?
So saddened when I hear of anyone suffering withCancer...lost my brother at 38 to the hideous disease.
Hoping your hubby's back improves...nothing worse than a sore back.
At least you have some beautiful blooms to brighten things up...
Enjoy your weekend...
Cheers!

Stopping to enjoy family is the best thing we can do with our time. Our youngest son and daughter-in-law with our 2 little granddaughters spent the weekend with us and everything else could wait.

I'm so sorry to know that your friend is going through this, Tanna. I pray he will triumph over this thing that everyone of us dreads and experiences either personally or through so many we know. Researchers just have to find cures for this.

One of our sons has been dealing with bad back pain for weeks now and could hardly function this weekend. Tomorrow he will see a doctor again. We're hoping that an order for PT may help.

Best to you and yours,
Dewena

Hello Tanna! I read this post via email but I must have forgotten to come and comment. Sorry about your friend and husband, praying for both. Sorry about the air too - but you're right, better now than when it's 100 degrees. Lovely Swiss Chard, azaleas and grandchildren! Hope you have a lovely, slow, quiet week.

praying for your friend. I pay a CPA for the tax stuff and that helps me with my hatred of tax filing :) Lovely blossoms in your area, we are so very far away from that.

Beautiful family photos! There's so much heartache and suffering all around, isn't there. We need to keep one another in prayer before our loving God.

You've been bust Tanna! I know how much fun it must have been to spend time with your little men and to celebrate a birthday with

So sorry to hear that your hubby has had bad back pain--my husband suffers from back troubles from time to time and I know how discouraging that can be. He found success in doing physical Therapy when he had pkarsyn.ain and now he does stretching exercises in the morning.

I'm also sad to hear your friends had bad news--I will keep Johnny and his family in my prayers.

Spring certainly has arrived in your area! We are behind but catching up.
