Bohemian Rhapsody and The Big Ba-Nilla
You might have noticed that I've been MIA again. This roller-coaster-ride of selling and buying a home has just been unbelievable at times. I almost hate to write any of this down; but, today we finally came to an agreement on a home to purchase. It ain't over 'til it's over, but we should close on both homes the first week in March. Of course, we were 12 days from closing before... when it tanked... so, your guess is as good as mine. At any rate, I'm taking a breather this afternoon.
I have finished the mixed stripey blanket a.k.a. Bohemian Rhapsody. I love its big snuggly-ness! The hardest part was the edging... I'll share more on that later, if anyone is interested.
Then, before I was even done with the blanket... I saw this wonderful flower on Lucy of Attic 24. It is just too much fun!! It will be a pillow when it is finished.
I'm seriously noticing a color scheme starting to appear. I ordered this beautiful bracelet from Sandy at Faith Hope and Love. She has done such beautiful work! And, her customer service is amazing. You might want to hop on by; she is having a 14% off Valentine's Sale AND a giveaway!! I'm just sayin'.
Anyway, that color scheme... we are gonna need it! Or something!! This is the possible future home... we call it The Big Ba-Nilla (vanilla) for obvious reasons. Where every square inch of Tallulah, The Brick Street Bungalow, oozes character... the Big Ba-Nilla is an abyss... of none.
My brain is whirling away though... It is going to be a challenge to breathe some life into this one.
But first, I could use some prayers that we make it through both closings... After that last deal, I'm feeling very anxious... and since buying my first home at 19, I've NEVER felt this way... it was always just exciting. A little scary sometimes, but exciting! This is not exciting. It is stressful.
Once we've crossed that bridge... the CPR will begin. ;)
"And the Lord answered me and said, Write the vision and engrave it so plainly upon tablets that everyone who passes may read as he hastens by." ~ Habakkuk 2:2
May your visions become clear...

And I for one Can't wait to see all the decorating.
praying everything goes well.
Firstly you blanket is truly beautiful Tanna, the colours go together so well, and it looks beautiful spread across your chair. I can imagine many happy hours sat there snuggling - in your new home!! I truly hope and pray that it all goes well for you and that you get to move very soon. Keep going, I am sure that it will all come good in the end. xx
Oh my....where to begin? I suppose I missed that you all had another contract on the Bungalow. I've always enjoyed your place and I too have bittersweet feelings about this.
Oh well....when God closes one door, HE usually opens something bigger for us. I've been in your shoes and I personally know everyone of those butterflies that can make your tummy feel bad.
I know that both closings are going to be completed. Yay for you all....Can't wait to see what you do in your new place!!
BTW...I do love that big red chair in the first photo...
hugs...

OK so now I get it. Wow. Your new home to be is lovely and I'm sure you will liven it up with all your wonderful color! These two pieces are spectacular and would love to hear about the edging. And wow to the flower and I see the bracelet in both! Lovely choice. Take a deep breath and have a sip of wine! Praying . . . .
Okay Tanna, I'm thinking positive here! Know it's close on time and all will go smooth! No worries! Oh my, your blanket is just gorgeous, I mean gorgeous! That pillow will look just stunning too. You sure are great at what you do!
Oh Tanna, I will pray over this situation. Now, I have NO DOUBT that you will make the big BA-Nilla as amazing and full of character as Talullah! YOU will do it...it oozes out of you. AS FOR the color scheme...OH MY I adore it! Do not leave that blanket laying around....it may disappear in a FED EX box to Ohio to visit Jill! :)
Congratulations on your new home, love it! The blanket is beautiful! We just put our home up too!
I sure hope it all goes through this time. I would be anxious, too. That house is just waiting for you to fill it with love.
I have no doubt that you can make the Big Ba-Nilla into a delicious mint chocolate chip with whip cream and a cherry on top in no time…it's what you do. Character oozes out of you…you have such an eye for beauty and color and potential!
The Big Ba-Nilla won't know what hit her.
Praying it all goes smoothly.
LOVE the Bohemian Rhapsody!

Will keep my fingers crossed, Tanna, that everything goes as planned without a hitch. Knowing you, you will work your magic on the vanilla house in no time! And I can't wait to see it. Hugs to you! Enjoy the ride!
Big Ba-Nilla will soon into "kalekdoscope" and yes, the homes will close!
Is the new home closer to your Little Men? Golf course? Knitting store?
Tanna,
If anybody can make it look good you are the woman!! Your afghan and pillow are so awesome. I'm loving the pillow. Can't wait to see it and can't wait to see Big Ba-Nilla transformed!!!
I am in love with your crochet blanket. It is awesome! :) The pillow is adorable as well. Love all that color. You did a wonderful job dear friend.
I am sending prayers that both of your closings will happen without any issues. I also pray that you will have peace over this issue and not have to stress so much.
If anyone can take the plan Jane house and make it into a beautiful home filled with awesome colors of love...then it is you my dear friend. :)
Blessings always to you and yours. :)
With your exceptional talent and taste, this lovely home will be a showplace in no time - I think it has tons of potential! I hope you love it and prayers coming your way for painless closings! I bet it has an awesome kitchen and exceptional view. Change is good, just keep chanting that to yourself! By the way, I will be singing Bohemian Rhapsody all day now, bobbing my head up and down. Love the blanket - gorgeous!
Okay before I say anything about the move I have to say the crochet blanket is spectacular, simply gorgeous. Love the flower too. Good luck with all of the closing and moving. The Big Ba-nilla will be fun to decorate, you have an open palette. You can do whatever you want which is quite exciting.
Hugs,
Meredith
Tanna, I can't say AMEN enough to your words about the closings and the anxiety. Why do they have so much power to do this? sigh. Stay the faith my friend. I'm trying♥
Hope everything goes as planned. I will pray that all goes well and do understand how you feel.
I am especially impressed with all you have going on that you finished Bohemian Rhapsody and are already planning another project. It is beautiful.
I know your mind is in a whirl with ideas for your new house and I can't wait to hear all about it.
Relax and do something fun. Bonnie
Love the blanket so much!
Praying you feel peaceful about the closing and it all goes perfectly.
I see a clean slate and I know you'll do amazing things in your NEW HOME
I love your new blanket! I've made a couple of those pillows with Lucy's pattern from her blog. They are so much fun to make!
I just know the big Ba-Nilla will be beautiful when you get finished decorating and furnishing it with your wonderful colors and style!! I can't wait to see what you do with it.
Praying that all goes well with the closing. Take care!
Dear Tanna, I understand. I was thinking that perhaps when I was younger things did not stress me the way they do today.
Though, perhaps it was simply because, "ignorance it bliss".
I think the more you know and learn, the more there is to worry about.
I try to give it all to the Lord and let Him work it out.
The house is very nice and I am sure you will bring your charm to it.
The blanket and flower are both lovely. The colors are true to your feelings, mellow yet alive and well.
Blessings dear. Catherine xo
So much that I want to say here, but I will try to keep it brief. There are few things which have been more stressful in my life than buying and selling houses. (Yes, the *important* stuff out there is more so, but I'm talking about the day to day living stuff. In that arena, I strongly dislike the buying and selling of homes, and it dislikes me right back. Very stressful.
That said, whenever I'm asked to pray for someone in that circumstance, I definitely do and I will.
And I don't think the Big Ba-Nilla will stay banilla for long in your capable hands.
Praying that God goes before these sales and makes all crooked places straight.
Oh Tanna, we moved from a "big ba nilla" to a charming bungalow, We've been thinking of a move too. So far, we haven't found much charm!! You'll add your own in due time. I wish I had that gorgeous throw to curl up under by the fire. It is lovely!!
Best,
Bonnie
Love, love, love that blanket. And I know, without a doubt, you will turn that house into a beautiful home in no time. Best wishes, Tammy
Catching up and wanted to see how your house selling and buying was going, Tanna! I wish you all the best with both closings and happy new adventures in your new home! It looks beautiful and I'm sure you will make it feel like "home" very soon!
